This Hotel is 10 minutes from the train station by picturesque Minnewater. Only 5 minutes walk to centre of Bruges. The room was comfortable, clean and tidy and overlooked the garden. Self service breakfast included in price was very nice. Would stay here again.

Room Tip: garden view

Hotel has limited check in times but leant over backwards to be helpful and accommodating. Even though our arrival was delayed by travel problems this hotel came up to all our expectations. The honesty bar was adequate for our needs after a trying day with a good choice of hot and cold drinks.
The room was well furnished, clean and comfortable and the breakfast generous and well presented.
All in all a very good family run hotel.

The hotel itself is like a small chateau wich is surrended by a really nice and peacful park, however it has a good location in the centre.

We've spent 3 nights in their room with the best sight. It was a very nice, vintage style room with a huge LCD TV. We loved it. The breakfast had a good quality of food. The guy who worked there was really nice and helpful. Also there were two extremely cute and well-behaved English cocker spaniels :)

There is an opportnuty to park your car but you have to pay for it (5€ or so for a day). The bathroom was unfortunately pretty poor, we didn't like it and actually it wasn't really clean. The breakfast was good but each day the very same.

In total we liked it, mostly because of its style and milieu. It is a nice place to stay.

The charm of this hotel lies in its beautiful setting in Minnewater Park, but a short walk down a medieval lane brings you to the Begijnhof. The rooms are large and comfortable and maybe could do with a lick of paint but this does not detract from the whole. The breakfast is excellent with plenty of choice. A nice little quirk, they have an honesty system if you want a drink in the evening. The staff are friendly and helpful aided by two Spaniels who are always willing to show you around. For the price I could not think of a better place to stay in Brugge.

Our first trip to Brugge, but after exploring the city for 4 days - I can't imagine staying anywhere else. This hotel has many of the pros of a bed and breakfast, but few of the cons. It's small (8 rooms, I think?) but the rooms are private and a private bathroom is in the room. Our room was huge, but I think we just got lucky (room #5). The breakfast spread served every morning is wonderful. Tons of fresh food and pastries - and it's always a nice treat to wake up to the smell of bacon cooking. It felt very secure and had a nice safe in the room.

This hotel is located on the edge of the park...which is wonderfully quiet. You can be in the city around the swarm of tourists and attractions in minutes, and then escape back to your little quiet oasis at Egmonds. That said, all of the patrons were very quiet and subdued (which I appreciated). Voices were hushed, steps were taken quietly, etc. If you're looking for a boisterous place - look elsewhere. It's also a very easy walk to and from the train station, so there's an added bonus of avoiding any confusing transfer or costly taxi if you're arriving in Brugge by train.

The one slight negative was that our bathroom was a little odd. It looked to have been retrofitted into the gorgeous room...and was a solid fiberglass "pod". It was functional, so I have no real complaints, but it seemed a little out of place and the toilet flow was very, very low.

I remember reading reviews that the staff was a bit cold. I disagree. The staff seemed very stable and tight-knit (I think I saw the same young man and middle-aged woman every day, and they seemed to be taking care of everything!) They were softly spoken and unobtrusive, but every small request or question I had was immediately attended to. I highly recommend the hotel.

In the middle of Brugge, two hundred meters from 'Het Begijnhof' in the middle of green trees and manors lies Hotel Egmond. Through narrow streets you can reach it easily with your car.
A very nice atmosphere, you can sit in the garden and have a famous Belgian beer.
The rooms are clean, the furniture strengthens the idea of history, for you are walking through Brugge as you walked through an open air museum.

Beds and breakfast are good, there is a good balance between what you get and the price.
We'll certainly come back.

Room Tip: Not really
