“Great value and close to the train station and the town”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 February 2014

We knew the stay would be a good one before even arriving in Bruges. The staff was very friendly and was able to accommodate our odd check-in time. it was very close to the train station and the manager gave us a map and pointed out all the points of interest in Bruges. Although the hotel is very small and the rooms look a bit cheap, it all was clean, comfy, and warm! Breakfast consisted of a very large variety of breads and spreads delivered to the table by the owners. Overall, it was certainly a good hotel for the price paid.

My brother and I stayed here for two nights in December. The owners could not have been more accommodating. The hotel is in a great location - especially if you are arriving by train - and provides great value. If you are looking for a good clean room at a reasonable price and don't mind sharing a bathroom, this is a fantastic choice.

I was a little worried when we first arrived as the room looked "well used." But it was absolutely clean, comfortable and the location was terrific. It is a bed and breakfast so it is shared toilet and shower with two (3?) other rooms. Breakfast is a variety of breads, toast and spreads. Steffan and Hilde are lovely. The restaurant next door is good as is the brasserie a few doors down. I would definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: Rooms on the front get some traffic noise but rooms on the back get night time noise from the brasse...

Location was handy, close to central train station and center of town, good price. Our room at the top had two beds a sink, cupboard. Shared toilet and shower. Decor definitely seen better days. Walls paper thin, ear plugs a must if you aren't a heavy sleeper! Breakfast included but it was just an assortment of rolls and bread so if you need protein, you will have to go elsewhere. Hotel owners friendly and helpful.

My girlfriend and I have been travelling and staying in budget accommodations for two months now and Hotel 't Keizershof has been an immense surprise. It is a 3 minute walk from the train station and it is only takes a 5 minute walk north to the center. Hotel 't Keizershof is run by Hilda and her husband; they are friendly, very accommodating, and keep the place very clean. A cute bread and breakfast with an amazing staff, facility, and location. I would definitely stay here again and I highly recommend this hotel to all travelers in Bruges!

Having stayed at t'Keizershof almost three times a year for over 15 years we have never had a bad experience and this time was no exception. Steffan & Hilde are the perfect hosts and you feel a sense of family about the hotel. The main reason why we keep coming back is their warmth and friendliness and their constant effort to make your stay as enjoyable as possible (They once kept a huge painting my father bought at the local antique market until our next visit as he could not fit it in the car!).

Our room was charming and comfortable with paintings by their daughters on the wall, while the breakfast like many have commented is superb. Brugge is like a second home to us and we have sampled many its hotels yet 15 years later we are still coming back. My mother often comments how it brings back fond memories of the past and how unlike many things it never changes for the worse.

Hopefully we will be back next year to see Steffan & Hilde working as hard as ever to make people's stay in Brugge as enjoyable as ours.

Earlier this week we spent two nights at this hotel; it was a great find - a comfortable cost-friendly hotel in a lovely quiet part of town. The railway station is minutes away by foot, and the town centre is an easy ten-minute walk. Stefaan and Hilde are friendly and helpful, always ready to advise on the best way to explore this fascinating city and places further afield. Breakfast is excellent; a goodly selection of breads, toast, soft cheeses, butter and a tray set with serving dishes of jams and spreads. A nice pot of coffee or tea sets you up comfortably for the day. One of the pleasant surprises is the free WiFi available on site. We will definitely stay here again. Eileen and Roger Knowles

Room Tip: Convenient for exploring Brugge on foot and for accessing trains if you wish to explore
