“Loved the Fevery”

I can only highly recommend this hotel as a really good option for travellers looking for budget quality accommodation in Bruges. The hotel is family owned and located in a nice quiet part of town. The owner Paul is very accommodating and friendly. Rooms are spotlessly clean.

Everything about this little hotel is perfect. Paul runs it very efficiently with gentle good humour. It is in a great location, our car was tucked away safely into a private courtyard, our room was light and airey, very clean and comfortable and very quiet. The beds and pillows extremely comfortable. Breakfast served in a nice little dining room was delightful, Paul is very attentive and the selection of food was really lovely. My husband and I will certainly go back, Brugge is a lovely place to visit and having somewhere like this to stay makes it all the better.

I agree with everything positive that has been said below. I thought the breakfast was quite nice, especially for such an inexpensive hotel. We found Paul to be very kind and helpful. He recommended a small restaurant around the corner which we liked very much and appreciated the close location. It was nice not to be in a touristy restaurant. The few other customers were tourists but fortunately the experienced traveler type – not the group tour type.

Our room in the rear on the top floor was very quiet and had a tiny balcony. The room was small but very efficient in its use of space. The bath was up a few steps from the sleeping area but quite spacious itself. Thee were two BBC channels on the TV but I would have liked CNN for just a quick check on what is going on. Nether of the other two similar hotels in Belgium even had the BBC.

I would say that all small hotels are similar to B&Bs. You don’t pay for extraneous public areas or unneeded amenities here. The elevator was very much appreciated, especially for luggage.

We discovered Hotel Fevery a few years ago via the fantastic reviews on Trip Advisor.

We enjoyed it so much that we now visit Bruges twice a year and stay in the first floor apartment adjoining the main house. On every occasion, we have a wonderful time. We always look forward to seeing Paul and Benny who are excellent hosts. They are happy to help with suggestions and recommendations and there are a lot of personal touches which make us feel very welcome.

We wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Bruges and look forward to returning next year.

This was our first visit to Brugge and to the Hotel Fevery, and we were very impressed. The hotel is north of the centre in a quiet square overlooked by St Giles Church. It is a pleasant walk to the centre of town along cobbled streets beside pretty canals.

Paul, the hotel owner, is the soul of courtesy and helpfulness, and the intimate atmosphere he and his staff create was much appreciated.

The en-suite room we stayed in and common areas were immaculately clean - better than we have ever seen in Europe. The beds were comfortable and it was very quiet and peaceful. The buffet breakfast was lovely with a choice of fruit juice, cereals, yoghurt , rolls, ham or cheese and boiled eggs and tea or coffee to drink.

There are dozens of hotels in Brugge and a good many will offer larger rooms and extra services, but for the price, we consider that the Fevery is hard to beat.

We would definitely stay at the Hotel Fevery again.

A very friendly, convenient place to stay in Bruges/Brugge. Simple (spotless) rooms, fairly plain breakfast, at a reasonable price.

I don't want to say anything negative about this hotel as the owner is so very friendly, however this more like a B&B you get in the UK or Ireland rather than a hotel.
