Highly recommended hotel, which is a short walk away from the main square of this lovely city! It is a small hotel in a lovely building.

The hotel is the best 3* I have stayed in!

It offers great value for money - even with the terrible £ exchange rate!

Bruges is a wonderful place to go for a romantic weekend. It is 55 mins from Brussels and the train from Brussels is free if you have a Eurostar ticket.

The room was a good size, with a wonderfully comfortable bed and a large bathroom with a good shower. The whole hotel was immaculately clean - I'd eat my dinner off the floor! The breakfast was great - good coffee, fresh croissants and bread, boiled eggs and fruit.

The owner was very helpful. He gave a tip-top recommendation for an evening dinner, and sent us to a really good traditional Belgian bar off a side street.

The hotel is relatively small which means it is nice and quiet - so you'll get a good nights sleep.

Highly recommended!

We were very pleased with this small hotel. The owners were helpful with sightseeing suggestions and directions. Breakfast was included, generous and always fresh. Our stay was in October and one day free apples were offered from an uncle's tree. They were juicy and a delightful snack. The location is handy; just a brief stroll along the canal to restaurants, shops and attractions. A bus stop was convenient for getting to and from the train station. The buses arrived precisely on time. The room was very comfortable and clean and quiet, with large windows. Bruges is a wonderful small city that I would like to go back to, and I would definitely stay at Hotel Fevery again.

The hotel was extremely clean and had recently been refurbished. The owner was very knowledgeable and helpful.

Breakfast was good.

No kettle provided - or allowed - in the room.

Location was fine. Easy walk to the centre and there's a bus stop close by with buses direct to the station.

This is a lovely hotel situated about 10 mins walking time from the market square. Buses do stop around the corner if distance is a problem. The rooms are quite spacious and very clean,; towels and bed linen changed daily and a lift is available. Breakfast is continental style with an optional egg. The owner is very helpful and knowledgable. The hotel is next door to St Gillis Church which is beautiful and has a service on Sunday at 10am. There are some lovely patisseries and chocolate shops on the pleasant walk from the hotel into town, and the canal is next to you as you walk. An enjoyable stay (a weekend) with no problems or fuss.

This is a very nice hotel at a very reasonable price. The staff are very friendly, helpful and efficient. The location is ideal, just 10 - 12 minutes walk to the market square but in a quiet side street. Our room was well decorated and clean. The continental breakfast was very pleasant with cereals, bread, toast, cheese, ham etc. and tea/coffee in plentiful supply. A boiled egg is avaiable if required. We would say again if we ever went back to Brugge.

Go on a canal boat to see the best of the waterways. The chocolate museum is very good. Take good walking shoes, some streets are cobled so flat is best. Siteseeing bus is a must, but do early on to get a good idea what else to go after it. Loads of good places to eat in the market square but slightly cheaper down sidesteets. Horse drawn carriage is also nice,

Everything about this hotel is adequate and efficient and matches the tripadvisor 2* rating and price. The price certainly makes it a good bargain in Bruges. If you can afford to pay alot more, there are certainly more charming and interesting places to stay. This isn't one of those quaint bed and breakfasts or remotely luxurious small hotels and of course it should not be expected to be, considering the rating and price. Instead, its mostly practical. It has all the basic essentials in functioning form, is run well, and most importantly (to me) -is extremely clean. So if you want to save your money and have a pleasant comfortable stay, its a good practical choice.

Location:
The location is intermediate -not on the boundaries of the town, and not at the very center. In Bruges walking is such a pleasure that its rather nice not to be too central.

Rooms and bathrooms:
The rooms are very basic, but very clean. The beds are firm.
The bathrooms were absolutely spotless- and relatively modern. I would put it on the high end of the better 2* small hotels in Europe. In general such rooms are quite stale and uninteresting, and the same is true here -but perfectly within our expectations for the rating.

Breakfast: Perfectly adequate. I wouldn't rave about it (in other words it doesn't exceed 2* expectations), nor would I complain. We were content with what we got.

Staff: We didn't experience anything beyond what would be expected (I note that many reviewers here are very effusive in their praise of the host). For us: practical advice was given, maps were provided, excellent restaurants were suggested. Exchanges were efficient, helpful and practical. Again, this isn't one of those places where you bond with your bed&breakfast host or sit around and chit chat. Efficient and practical are the key words I'd choose. This is preferred by many as you are there to see Bruges, not make friends with hotel staff. Those who have other expectations (and I know some who see this advertised as a bed and breakfast would) may be disappointed.

Altogether a good deal for the price and recommended as a very practical choice for a stay in Bruges.
