Clean rooms, friendly staff and convenient for the beautiful sights. I'd certainly recommend the Lace hotel for a short break or business trip. Reasonable value too.
Park in the multi story opposite for €8 per day.

Room Tip: Go for the top floor overlooking the square.

When we first arrived, the square outside the hotel was noisy and busy - lots of bars full of people and a whole heap of road works! Fortunately, once inside the room, there was no noise, unless we opened the window, even though we overlooked the square.
The room was neat and tidy and fairly modern, but the en-suite bathroom looked like it had been transported in from a 1980's static caravan, complete with ashtray next to the sink (!). But to be fair, everything worked and it was clean.
The front desk was rarely staffed but if you pressed the call bell they attended very quickly. Standard continental breakfast, dining room very nicely done out. Didn't eat in the attached Brasserie, but did have a drink and almost choked on 22euros for two G&Ts! There are much better prices in town.
The location was great for ambling into the centre of Bruges, no more than 5 minutes walk to the famous Belfry and Markt square.
WARNING: just about all restaurants, attractions and bars are either closed or close early on Monday and Tuesday!!

Just returned from Lace Hotel Bruge . I read the reviews before I went and I felt a sense of dread . However I feel they couldn`t be more wrong . We had a beautiful room at the back ..306 ... it was clean and very stylish ....huge bathroom .Very comfortable beds ..a bit soft for me . Heating worked well as went Feb .Breakfast was a huge array of pasteries, rolls. meat , cheese. cereal.fruit various teas coffee fruit juices.boiled eggs..and more .
The hotel is very central to visit all the sites.
Warning ... Bruge is very very expensive ...try outer restaurants as they are very expensive and drinks are too .
I had a great time . Hope you do too

This hotel is in a perfect position for visitors to Bruges, especially if you come by car as the superb huge city underground car park is only 25 yards from the hotel.

Also the attached Brasserie could not be bettered, for ambiance, service, friendliness and the quality of the food.

Room Tip: Ask for room 305

This is exactly what I expected at a 3 star hotel. I do not expect luxury and the hotel delivered. The price is high but so are the other hotels of similar quality in Bruges. So, as the other reviews state, it is noisy. It is only a 10 minute walk from the Bruges train station. I got a triple room which was sufficient for what we needed. The heater and the hot water worked well. The breakfast was sufficient.

I was expecting the hotel to be awful but it wasn't as bad as I expected good service at reception lovely continental breakfast and average size room.
the downsides were badly cracked sink in the bathroom (I have stayed in other places with the same sort of bathroom) and the wooden floor was slippery when when wet
It was a perfect location for a new year break with the celebrations on the square

My 5th visit to Bruges for Christmas and this is the poorest hotel I've stayed in. Highly over priced for the quality of room and the reception area is deserted most of the time, which is odd as it's the busiest time of the year ! I'd not return to this particular establishment as there are much nicer places if you have a look about.

Very good location though.
