This is a fantastic place and if I return to Bruges I'll head straight back to this hotel without even checking out the rest.
The customer care was second to none. Clean and comfy. Slap bang in the middle of the city. Beautiful to look at inside and out. Well appointed and nice toiletries.
We hadn't opted for breakfast but this wasn't an issue (although I bet it's delicious) as there are lots of little cafe and waffle houses nearby).
After researching hotels in Bruges for a 2 night stay last weekend, we certainly found a gem in this amazing, boutique hotel. The position on the canal is just perfect, the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Being there in December, the decorations in the hotel were just like a fairytale! We had room 15, which wasn't directly overlooking the canal, but we could still see it..Breakfast is served in a lovely room overlooking the canal...with fresh waffles...what more could you want!

I'd promised my partner that we would spend a night in Bruges and was hoping that I'd made the right choice in hotels. And I had. This was all and more than I'd wished for. When we were signing in the hotel employees could not do enough for us, even walking my partner back to her car 3/4 mile away and guiding her to their secure covered parking area. I'd booked the Superior Classic overlooking the canal and it was enough to make my partner's eyes sparkle when she saw it. The bed is a super king and extremely conducive to a good nights sleep. The atmosphere in the hotel itself was warm and comfortable with several excellent artworks dotted around, including some nice Klimt sketches which they said I couldn't have. Pity. As we had other plans I'd only booked breakfast but that was an absolute delight. We rounded that off with the lightest, crispiest, most enjoyable waffles I've had and I don't even like waffles. Checking out showed the staff at the top of their game once more. It was a cold, crisp morning but they practically insisted on accompanying my partner to her car again but I managed to persuade them we wouldn't get lost (we didn't). However, I did lose the fight on taking the bags to the car as they wouldn't take no for an answer. Their whole attitude to a bumbling Englishman was exemplary and they made us feel totally welcome and at home.
We've already decided to return next year and spend a good few more nights there.
I can't recommend this hotel highly enough. You really must try it if you're staying in Belgium.
This hotel is well situated within the centre of Bruges, but very difficult to find , and with the one way system a total nightmare driving around, the hotel has one tiny sign on a lamp post which can not be seen at night. Make sure you use your sat nav, our hire car sadly didn't have one. The hotel and staff are lovely. Breakfast was good. The room was nice , clean and spacious, however the sheets and blankets were not good . A comfy duvet would have been better.
We enjoyed a lovely weekend in Bruges and the hotel enhanced our stay - both for its atmosphere and charm and for the wonderful views and location.
We had a deluxe room which was in the eaves. It was much smaller than expected and the shower room was sl on the claustrophobic side - (perhaps it would have been better to have had just one sink and more space for the room the double sink took up), but with a large, comfy bed and pretty decor and fabrics it was otherwise lovely for a weekend stay.
Staff were very sweet and helpful - a small issue with our shower was instantly sorted and generally they were warm and welcoming throughout our short stay. Breakfast was good- plenty of choice and with the added views of the canal as we sat, fireside, squeezing in waffles with cream despite having already had enough!
It is a boutique hotel so there's a more informal atmosphere towards the services, and for example, no turn down service in the evening which would have been nice - coming back to a room that has been tidied up was something we expected so a little disappointed not to get this from a 4 star hotel.
Just a couple of suggestions if anyone from the hotel reads this - a dressing table with a mirror would have been nice and also some drawers or shelves in the wardrobe as not everything hangs up. But not complaints as much as observations.
Otherwise we'd recommend the hotel for couples wanting a romantic break - it is pretty special and in nearly every way was the perfect choice for our short break in Bruges - which in itself was a beautiful place to visit.
We spent a wonderful week in the lovely city of Bruges and stayed in this charming, beautiful hotel. The staff were helpful, polite and friendly, willing to provide advice on restaurants, museums and galleries. Each evening after our full days exploring different parts of Bruges we were welcomed back with genuine interest in our experiences. We loved our room - it was an elegant haven of comfort and warmth. We are already planning to return next year and will definitely stay here again.
