“Exquisite”

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights. Service and accommodations were outstanding. Our room overlooked the eating area on one side and the canal on the other side. We we would stay there again without hesitation

Beautiful setting on the canal. It can be a little noisy from the boats, but why would you be in your room during those hours anyway? The room was a bit small and the bathroom required agility to move in the space, but verbally it was great. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Would definitely stay here again. Perfect location. Mattresses were not up to par and tended to have some low spots. Have an extra beer before going to sleep and you will not notice!

Nice room overlooking the water. The hotel is located in a historic and centrally located building. The hotel has no restaurant but the breakfast in the hotel is good and is not something to be rushed because of the nice location in a beautiful room overlooking the water. The staff is friendly and helpful. There is free wifi. There is paid parking available not too far from the hotel. It is better to book this in advance if you come by car because parking space is limited and isn't easy to find in Bruges. The restaurant to where the hotel staff directed us was a downright disappointment. Unfriendly waiters and poor quality of food. Also the stained bedspread in the room could use some washing. But overall a pleasant experience.

Room Tip: Ask for a hotel overlooking the water.

This is a nice hotel, located in a great spot near the market. Booked here due to reviews. We booked a "standard" room and were put into a tiny room without a shower ( bath only) and a tiny window that overlooked the canal. Asked to be moved to a room with shower and the girl at the desk gave us a key to a new room - also small and cramped, but at least it had a shower - view overlooked a bar. Would not recommend staying here in a standard room. Not the friendliest front desk staff, either. Not convenient to check in to if you have a car because the hotel is not accessible from the street - have to have one person drive around while you go down a walking alley to get to hotel and have someone come out to take your car to garage. Wouldn't stay here again.

We simply loved this hotel. From the beautiful room, to the great location, to the amazing staff. Everything was wonderful. Even when there was a slight mishap (we lost hot water for about 4 hours) the hotel bent over backwards to make it up to us. And honestly, all we did was shower that afternoon instead of that morning which was fine. The hotel breakfast is lovely. The rooms overlooking the canal are spectacular. The bathroom with the red marble is stunning. But even more than the breathtaking views and serenity of the hotel is that the staff just was so friendly and welcoming. I would love to go back here and would recommend it to anyone visiting Bruges!!

This is a charming little hotel, old, very well looked after, and gorgeous bedrooms but with modern bathrooms. there are original works of art around, inc Klimt, Matisee, Botero

location is perfect, next to the canal, very close to market square

Staff were lovely, and really helpful, which was welcome when I was feeling rather ill.

This is an old hotel, with oodles of charm; it is not for those who dont want the narrow stairs or creaky floors or patchy wifi.

Room Tip: there is some noise from street and from the canal, but thats the central location

Booked this due to reviews on Tripadvisor - and it more than lived up to expectations. Not only a stunning location and fantastic appointed rooms - everything is just perfect. The staff could not be more helpful - what would appear to be going out of their way, seems to the be the standard. The hotel has been kept in the original setting, with 21st century additions that blend in. You must enjoy the breakfast there - especially with a glass of Champagne and watch the beautiful swan float past. I need to work out a trip back there - Bruges is a beautiful town and this hotel is the epitome.

Room Tip: Room 15 on the first floor at the back, although not a full canal view large and so comfortable.
