Worth a visit, whatever your beliefs. There are two chapels both free to enter: the lower, very simple Romanesque and the upper, ornately crafted with every inch covered with lovingly executed artwork, sculpture, needlework and stained glass. The relic in its glass case can be venerated after mass in the mornings and on some afternoons. On Ascension Day it is carried through the strees as part of a huge parade with over 3000 locals taking part re-enacting historical scenes and stories from the Bible. There is also a small museum with a €2 charge - for more info about the museum click on the museum icon on their webpage.
NB check opening - closed at lunchtimes.
