Owner description: The current museum is housed in the old infirmary and displays the eclectic collection accumulated by nuns down the centuries. The oldest pieces date back to the 14th century. Many miracles have been attributed to the white limestone statue of Our Lady of the Potterie in the baroque church. These are detailed in stained-glass windows, wall tapestries, and a miracle book. The 13th century statue is one of Bruges' oldest preserved statues.

“Well worth the walk!”
Reviewed 4 December 2013

Thoroughly enjoyed the Museum! It's about a 15 min walk from the main Markt but a lovely walk past the Canals and quiet Roads!

“Excellent little place a little off the beaten track”
Reviewed 24 November 2013

We visited this more as an accidental stumble than a planned visit whilst exploring a less touristy area of Bruges (and wandering towards the windmills). A small but interesting museum and a small but beautiful church. I would recommend that people have a little canal side walk and visit this little gem.

“Go out of your way to see this very special place...”
Reviewed 2 November 2013

After seeing the Memling Hospital Museum, we decided to seek this one out, too. With less left of the hospital space except two sleeping chambers, it's the two chapels are really extraordinary. It would be a very special experience to attend a service here.

“Incredible”
Reviewed 8 August 2013

This is by far the most gorgeous church I've seen in Bruges. The decoration and works of art are absolutely stunning. the museum you have to go through to visit the church is not brilliant, but it's worth it in the end!

“Sumptuous”
Reviewed 25 April 2013

This has to be one of the most ornate churches in Bruges. Don't be put off by the dull brick exterior, go in and see the sumptuous, over the top, carvings, gilt and stained glass. The museum isn’t up to much, but the church is well worth a visit.
