A delightful boutique hotel in a quiet location away from the inevitable crowds but just a few minutes walk away from all the main sights and some delightful restuarants. Friendly and helpful staff, well-appointed rooms and a delicious breakfast. Parking available for those with cars. Perfect.

This small boutique hotel was a delightful surprise near the center of old Bruges. Much less expensive than nearby alternatives, but spotless with a friendly multi-lingual staff, modern bathrooms, comfortable beds and amenities in each room. We took the least expensive rooms in the back courtyard area which involved a climb us some narrow stairs, but the rooms themselves were top-notch and the area was quiet for sleeping. Great hot breakfast included, and only a 2 minute walk (200 yds) to the main square. Car parking on site. They are also expanding and hope to have an even bigger bar and breakfast area open by December 2011.

Room Tip: Rooms off the courtyard out back are the quitest.

I had a conference in Brugge and the first thing I did was go to trip advisor which has worked flawlessy for me in the past. One of the most highly recommended hotels was the Prinsenhof and I was particularly attracted by its size. It had incredibly strong reivews and their web site showed its quality furnishings and other attributes. We checked in early on the day of our arrival and thankfully they had our room ready for us -- well before normal check in time. The also arranged our car from Brussels. Charming and truly European are the words my wife and I think of regarding the Prinsenhof. It is small by some standards, but the quaintness and the excellent furnishings easily offset size issues. Our room had a nice seating area which we enjoyed immensley. The location is convenient and quiet. The breakfasts are expensive like all food in Europe, but the quality and expanse of options are outstanding. We cannot say enough about the owners and staff. They are cheerful and efficient and always ready to assist. The restaurant recommendations were incredible -- every one them -- and they made reservations for us (they seem to have some real influence with many of the best places). This is the best service we have ever had anywhere -- without doubt. Should we return to Brugge which we would like to do one, we will definitely have the Prinsenhof as our first choice!!

stayed here for 1 night on Sept 2011. our room located on the first floor is spacious n homely - comes with a living area decked out with sofas , plasma tv ( which itself placed on top of a huge wood cabinet ) and a dvd player. bathroom itself was great , with 2 sinks separating the bath n toilet . overall, we enjoyed our stay (even for a night) the bed was comfortable and the location good .

p/s : if u have knee problem, do request for room on the ground floor. as u need to climb about 15 steeps up and its a bit steep .

This was our second visit to this lovely quiet hotel. The room we booked was perfect and fitted our requirements. The breakfasts were excellent and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. They were calmly efficient and ensured our stay was a memorable one.

Reading the other reviews there seems to be very few superlatives left to describe the Prinsenhof so our comments are summed up by saying we will stay here again!

We enjoyed a three night stay at the Prinsenhof as part of a European "tour".
This is a delightful family-owned hotel whose owners and staff were a delight to deal with and were always friendly and helpful. Our room was quiet, comfortable and well-appointed and the breakfast was the best we experienced on our holiday.
The location was excellent and - despite the intricacies of Bruges one-way street system - well signposted.
We wouldn't hesitate to return in the future.

As with most of the reviewers I booked this hotel after reading the trip advisor reviews. The staff are all delightful and friendly. The room was lovely, and the bathroom with its double sinks, monsoon shower and spa bath was a real treat. The bathroom needed an extractor fan as got really steamy and it would have been nice to have a kettle in the room, but apart from that we couldn't rate this lovely centrally located hotel more highly.
