My wife & I stayed at the hotel Prinsenhof for 3 nights in Oct (6-9). Whilst it's not the cheapest hotel in Bruges we wanted something nice and after reading the other trip advisor reviews we booked! We did however, manage to get a special deal which meant breakfast was included in the price (€176 per room per night). It was a great place to stay whilst in Bruges (or Brugge!). The hotel was perfectly situated for the main shopping streets and squares although tucked down a quiet little street so we were away from any noise (although its not the noisiest of cities!). The staff were all friendly, polite, helpful and very happy! We were upgraded to a deluxe room when we arrived which was a pleasant surprise and our room (no.45 on the ground floor) was spacious, very clean, contemporary in style and the bed was both big and comfy.

The bathroom had 2 sinks and was also very spacious and clean. Breakfast offered a good selection of continental foods plus some hot scrambled eggs, bacon and mushrooms. You could order any type of egg too - nothing was too much trouble for the excellent lady that served us (didn't catch her name).

A wonderful, relaxing stay at a quaint yet grand place on a small scale. We can see why it was highly rated on trip advisor and would definitely return and recommend it too :)

It was a little disappointing to find that the room overlooked a car park, a little like I imagine it would feel to stay at a motel in the States. That said, since we'd driven to Bruges it was convenient to have the car outside the door of the room.

We were upgraded to a Deluxe room and the room itself was very clean and tidy. Breakfast was lovely and the service of reception was excellent.

The location of the hotel was brilliant; just a few minutes from the main square, located on a quite side-street off one of the main shopping roads.

The reviews on tripadvisor influenced me to book this hotel for our trip. We had a lovely room on the second floor complete with a jacuzzi bath, which was very welcome after a day out sightseeing. The location is very quiet and we slept very well in a very large, comfy bed. The nightly turndown service was a nice touch. Can't comment on the breakfast - we didn't try it as we chose to eat out instead. If we return to Bruges we would stay here again.

Charming, clean, hospitable. walking distance to everything in bruge, but tucked away from the noise and tourists. They even have a Roof, the jack russell terrier to welcome guests in the lobby. The staff is over the top friendly and helpful. Rooms ate cozy, intimate and very clean. Did not eat as I slept thru breakfast, which is rare in a hotel. Will stay again

This is a beautiful hotel located on a quiet street which is a very close ad convenient walk to all of the attractions in central Brugge. The lobby is beautiful, the staff very helpful, and the service excellent.

This was the first time my husband and I had been away on our own in nearly 9 years since our children were born. Having chosen this hotel based on glowing reviews on Tripadvisor I was really looking forward to a luxurious and romantic break. I think these high expectations led to the tremendous sense of disappointment I felt when we were shown to our room out in the hotel car park. I asked for a room in the original hotel building and stressed that we had paid for a deluxe room but we were not offered another room as the hotel was full. The room itself was clean and very nicely decorated, but not particularly special and the presence of cars parked only a few feet from our door was not compensated for by the presence of a jacuzzi bath!. Breakfasts were very good - my husband was very relieved by the availability of full cooked breakfast as well as the usual continental pastries and cold meats etc. Bruges itself did not disappoint other than my wistful looks at the many other lovely hotels we could have stayed in which may have made our short stay perfect. If you are planning a stay at the Prinsenhof, make sure you do not get a room in the car park extension or if you do I would request a discount rather than (as we did!) pay a deluxe room supplement for the dubious privilege - unless you particularly want to keep a close eye on your car!.

Room Tip: Avoid the characterless rooms in the car park!.

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights at this hotel in September. It was extremely comfortable, conveniently located, and the staff couldn't have been more responsive. I would highly recommend this hotel!!! It is worth the price!!!!

Room Tip: A very quiet hotel but I suggest booking one of the intermediate or most expensive rooms as they are...
