“Pure luxury”
Reviewed 28 October 2012

Our visit to this wonderful hotel was a pure delight. The front of the hotel does not give away the delights within. Our room was extremely restful, meticulously clean, and richly decorated. The bed was very comfortable with elegant linens. The bathroom was luxurious with an incredible jaccuzi as well as a shower. The towels were large and warmed on the towel rack. The hotel was very quiet, and was a joy to return to after our outings in this wonderful city, The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Parking was very convenient, safe and reasonable. We had a perfect stay at this wonderful hotel. I hope we will be able to visit this wonderful town again, and if we do, we wouldn't think of staying anywhere else!

My wife, two dogs, and I stayed at the Prinsenhof for three nights in early October 2012 and look forward to returning. It is the perfect, restful place to stay in Bruges.

What we loved:
--Gorgeous room. It was well decorated, very clean, and well equipped. They upgraded us for our anniversary. This was a hotel room I just enjoyed being in. Two wing chairs, by the table with flowers, near the big TV—it was all just right. Bathroom—with bath and separate shower—was excellent.
--Quiet. The hotel’s location on a quiet street and its design ensure rest at night and a feeling of comfort during the day.
--Exceptional service. The staff could not have been more helpful and interested in ensuring our stay was as pleasant as possible. Beyond accepting our two golden retrievers, they went out of their way to be very kind to our dogs. One staff member brought in dog treats our second day to give to our dogs.
--The hotel’s public rooms are both welcoming and smartly designed.
--Great location to main attractions and restaurants. They will park your car for a reasonable fee in their courtyard where you know it will be safe; leave it there during your stay—Bruges is a city for walking. And the Prinsenhof is in an ideal location. A charming restaurant just down the street was comfortable and had superb food. Yes, our dogs were welcome there as well.
--Accommodating. I asked for a room facing their courtyard on the ground floor to make it easy (and potentially less disruptive to other guests) for us to come and go throughout the day with our two dogs. They obliged, and it was just the ticket for us. Especially for our older dog with arthritis. No stairs for him to navigate. Thank you, Prinsenhof.

Looking forward already to our next visit.

The reception gave a wrong impression. Nicely done in the main building around reception. The room in the neighbour building has been smelling and used interior. The service has been very kind. Location is also very goed by food. Parking is limited and tight. Bad value for money. Maybe the rooms in the main building are better. if u would like to stay ensure a room in the main building

I stayed in Prinsenhof Hotel 2 weeks ago and my experience from beginning to end was perfect!.
Believe me, I work in the hospitality industry and these people really know about service and they truly care about guests.

Since we arrived to the hotel they upgraded our room to the best they have, also they gave us a free invitation for a walking tour to know the city, which, by the way, is awesome as well, one of the most beautiful places in Europe, if you ask for something you get it in seconds, always with a smile, with a immediate solution, they really go beyond expectations.

Don´t think twice to stay here, the rooms, the cleanliness, the SERVICE and THE PEOPLE who run this little jewel really deserves the first place in tripadvisor, you won´t regret!

We had a wonderful time at Hotel Prinsenhof. All the staff were wonderful, the location was great & the room was fabulous. The hotel was so close to everything but very quiet too so sleeping was easy. We spent 3 nights there & were upgraded. The room was serviced well every day including a turn down service at night. We didn't have the breakfast because we weren't hungry at breakfast time so we can't comment on that. Brugges was a great place to visit lots of historic places to see & very clean. While there we did a walking tour of the town, a photo tour & a bike tour to Damme. Would highly recommend a visit to this city & staying at this lovely hotel. Would definitely stay there again if we go back to Brugges.

Room Tip: We were upgraded to room 42, very comfortable. It was off the car park but there no problem or distu...

My wife & I stayed at the hotel Prinsenhof for 3 nights in Oct (6-9). Whilst it's not the cheapest hotel in Bruges we wanted something nice and after reading the other trip advisor reviews we booked! We did however, manage to get a special deal which meant breakfast was included in the price (€176 per room per night). It was a great place to stay whilst in Bruges (or Brugge!). The hotel was perfectly situated for the main shopping streets and squares although tucked down a quiet little street so we were away from any noise (although its not the noisiest of cities!). The staff were all friendly, polite, helpful and very happy! We were upgraded to a deluxe room when we arrived which was a pleasant surprise and our room (no.45 on the ground floor) was spacious, very clean, contemporary in style and the bed was both big and comfy.

The bathroom had 2 sinks and was also very spacious and clean. Breakfast offered a good selection of continental foods plus some hot scrambled eggs, bacon and mushrooms. You could order any type of egg too - nothing was too much trouble for the excellent lady that served us (didn't catch her name).

A wonderful, relaxing stay at a quaint yet grand place on a small scale. We can see why it was highly rated on trip advisor and would definitely return and recommend it too :)

It was a little disappointing to find that the room overlooked a car park, a little like I imagine it would feel to stay at a motel in the States. That said, since we'd driven to Bruges it was convenient to have the car outside the door of the room.

We were upgraded to a Deluxe room and the room itself was very clean and tidy. Breakfast was lovely and the service of reception was excellent.

The location of the hotel was brilliant; just a few minutes from the main square, located on a quite side-street off one of the main shopping roads.
