Never go to Bruges without staying at this Hotel. Excellent in every way. We had a superior room as it was a special occasion and it was sumptuous. I could not get my husband out of the jacuzzi!! The staff are so friendly they make you feel right at home. The breakfast bar is superb - everything you would want and more! The daily delivery of fresh fruit and sweets was most welcome and the room service for early morning tea was nothing less than a feast. Definitely would go back without any hesitation. The wee dog is lovely too!

This lovely hotel is a serious contender for the best hotel we have ever stayed in. We spent 3 nights there and the standards throughout the Prinsenhof were excellent. The location in a quiet side street off one of the main shopping streets is ideal. But what was outstanding, from the moment we arrived until we left, was that the staff could not have been more friendly or helpful.

We have just returned to the UK and can honestly say that the hotel was fantastic, beautiful quiet setting, professional, welcoming and friendly staff. To say the hotel exceeded our expectations is an understatement, from the moment we arrived we were made to feel special, even being given a room upgrade for our stay. Breakfasts were great with the staff being very attentive without being intrusive, and everything "just right". As our taxi driver said "it has the feel of a 5 star hotel with a relaxed family atmosphere"- how true!!!. Only one regret though 3 nights not long enough.

Date stayed – March 2013 - 3 Nights
No of people – 2 adults
Public Areas/Services
Lobby – Beautiful room with open fire place that resembles a large family lounge room.
Meals – Good sized breakfast room that offers excellent buffet breakfast. In addition to food provided at buffet, staff are happy to cook eggs to suit your likes i.e. omelette or poached eggs.

There is a modern bar to have a drink at (separate room). When you order a drink a complimentary array of nibbles are provided. In addition staff are happy for you to order at bar & they will bring it to your room.

Service in these areas was excellent & very hospitable.

Internet – Included in the price. Very good connection although we did have trouble sending emails via our normal provider. This may not have been related to the hotel & was not a major issue.
Concierge/Staff service – The staff were all excellent are genuinely wanted to help but also get to know you. Their English was excellent & I believe several of the staff could speak many other languages.

Location – Within walking distance to major town square (500m), shops, restaurants & cafes. Also there are several squares of different sizes throughout the city that offer different types of facilities & are unique in there own way. In addition we walked to the outer areas of the “old city” & found some local traditional cafes/pubs that were worth visiting.

Room
Quality – Excellent with large bathroom. Bathroom included spa bath & separate shower. We were upgraded.
Size – Large double room.
Condition – Excellent.
View – View to car park but I don’t think the hotel had any major views of any kind.
Facilities – Desk, safe & large wardrobe. Excellent flat screen TV & modern quality fixtures & fittings. Also two comfortable chairs & a table where you could have a drink at.

Transport – A short taxi or bus ride from the train station. You could walk if you wanted however I would not recommend this due to a few points.
1/ A lot of the paths are cobblestones.
2/ The location of hotel is not that easy to find.
3/ On a weekend or peak season there are likely to be a lot of people about.

Overall Conclusion – Excellent hotel with service that could not be faulted. Would definitely recommend & stay there again if we return. Also Bruges is a beautiful city that is well worth a visit.

We stayed here in late November 2012 as a pre-Christmas break. The whole stay was amazing. I had bought it as a birthday gift for my boyfriend so wanted somewhere a bit special. We weren't disappointed. From the moment we arrived the staff were really attentive but not overbearing. The lady who serves the breakfasts was particularly good. The rooms are lovely and the little touch of turning the beds down in the evenings made the whole experience even better. The location is great, very central. We would definitely go back and would absolutely recommend this hotel if you are going to Bruges. You will not find a better hotel!

We stayed one night and I wish it could have been more.Everything was top shelf-- from the location to the staff and the room. You won't be disappointed if you stay here. It is off the main drag but close enough to walk anywhere. The breakfast is very good and the staff is very helpful. My only regret was the short stay.

My stay with Hotel Prinsenhof was one of the best hotel experiences I've had. The building and rooms are gorgeous. The staff is incredible…so friendly and helpful. Not a detail has been missed, from the charming welcome letter to the exceptional turndown service. The location is excellent, right in the center of Bruges. Comfortable beds, quiet rooms, and all the luxury you'd expect from a high quality hotel. I would recommend Prinsenhof to anyone, and I will definitely stay here again!
