“Great place to stay”
Reviewed 21 July 2008

This Hotel is a gem.My wife and I and two friends stayed at the Prinsenhof Hotel for three nights this weekend 17th-20th-07-08. This hotel is absoloutly beautiful.Centrally situated and quiet. The staff are in every way polite, helpful and nothing is too much trouble. The breakfast is superb and the staff in the dining room are great with such attention to detail. There is parking on site (Payable) but once you park the staff do the rest .All in all a wonderful hotel and a credit to the owners we would definately stay again.

This hotel is centrally located but in a quiet area. The staff are very pleasant and welcoming, breakfast is excellent and the room we had was elegant and spacious.
We would thoroughly recommend Hotel Prinsenhof for your stay in Bruges.
Be sure to go for a sail on the canals - so relaxing and a great way to see Bruges!

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and we loved it! It is one of the best hotels we ever stayed in.
The room was superb! Very clean, very well equiped with lot's of details.
Breakfast was the best we ever had, with smoked salmon, champagne, etc ...
The staff made us feel very welcome and they were helpfull and professional.
This was an amazing experience. You should try it yourself!
We will certainly return.

Loved this hotel - charm, character, wonderful staff at Reception & throughout our stay - we had a room at the top of the hotel, reached from 2nd floor by a flight of steep steps (lift to 2nd floor from Ground), but this only added to the unique charm of this place - once in the room, we had a wonderful view over the Bruges rooftops. Our room was immaculate, everything spotless and fresh. Breakfast was great, wonderful selection, plenty of everything. My wife and I just loved this hotel.

Following our recent visit to Brugge and staying in the Hotel Prinsenhof, we would very much like to mention, that our stay, there was excellent. From the moment we arrived until our depature, everything was superb, from the reception, to the Dining Room, and to the maid service, we could not find any fault.

On our leaving, the Hotel owner, his wife, and the lady in the reception, waved us off in our Taxi. I have never stayed in an Hotel and had the kind of service, this Hotel provided, also to add the Breakfast as described, was perfect, We would very much like to recommend this Hotel for all that I have mentioned. It is very relaxing.

Regards,

Beryl & Laurie Watts

My friend and I have just returned from 2 nights at this little Hotel.
I am a regular to Bruges, but it was my friends first time.
It was my first stay at The Prinsenhof, a pretty little Hotel in a Central location.
Our Check-In was efficient, but not particularly welcoming.
The room we were allocated was small.
So small in fact that we thought the Twin Beds were a small Double, as they were pushed so close together.
Although our room had a small bath, it was enclosed within a tiled wall, with just a small space to climb in and out and no rail.
I found this very claustrophobic and made do with the hand-held shower over the bath.
Not at all satisfactory.
Breakfasts were good, but served in a very cramped room.
Nice selection of food, plus Champagne if you wanted it.
However, on Day 2 of our stay when there were more Guests than tables, Breakfast-time was totally chaotic with waitresses squeezing past our table every couple of minutes, and the Hot food constantly running out.
We found The Hotel quiet at night, but others in The Courtyard rooms complained of paper-thin walls and hearing next doors T.V etc into the early hours.
Air-Con worked fine the first day, but not the second.
We did report the problem, but were told it was working and found our second night too hot and uncomfortable to sleep well.
Nice Staff overall.
Cosy Bar area
Wouldn't stay again though as for the same money there are other Hotels and chic Bed and Breakfasts which offer equal quality with much bigger, nicer standard rooms and superb Bathrooms/Breakfasts.

We stayed at the first weekend in May having travelled by ferry from Scotland to Zeebrugge. First we can recommend the ferry crossing from Rosyth-comfortable and enjoyable ship with good quality dining and a cinema too!We had chosen the hotel after reviews on "Trip Advisor" and were not disappointed. We were greeted by most welcoming staff on our arrival, a friendliness and efficiency which was constant throughout our three night stay. We were upgraded to a Superior room which was up one flight of relatively steep stairs and found the room and large bathroom beautifully furnished with an eye to both traditional tones and all modern amenities. The hotel is a few minutes walk from the centre ( the "Markt") and whilst Brugges was very busy during our visit-the popular "Mayday" weekend, the hotel enjoys a very quiet location so after eating out-the hotel has no restaurant-you return to a quiet luxurious resting place. The restaurants we tried which we asked the hotel to book for us prior to our arrival as we anticipated ,correctly as it turned out, they might be busy all lived up to expectations .Although not inexpensive the quality of food wine and service is very high. My personal favourite was the "Vlamische Pot" in a street just behind the hotel which served hearty Flemish cooking with some flair and the portions were enormous! The weather was sunny and we walked everywhere, the city is built on canals and is flat. The hotel provided excellent advice on what to see and how best to walk there. Breakfast is taken in a rather smallish dining room but the quality and range of the provisions was excellent as was the coffee!
All in all the hotel actually surpassed our expectations and we would not hesitate,as we have already have to our own friends in Scotland,to recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a little luxury in a personal friendly hotel: when we left the manager actually came to our taxi shook our hands and thanked us for our visit.A further sign of the attention to detail which seems to me to be the watchword of this hotel.
