“A Jewel in a Medieval Town!”
Reviewed 1 April 2010

This small hotel was wonderful. Reception areas were beautifully furnished with antiques and appointments of classic design. Staff was quite helpful and accomodating. The rooms were very "designerly" in their decor and the baths were modern and immaculate. (We stayed here twice in two different higher end rooms). Turn down service in the evening. The location is perfect, as you can walk anywhere within minutes. Bruges is a beautiful walking city. What a delight it was to stroll through the medieval town with its winding streets which brought a surprise around every corner. Loved the city. Loved the hotel. Parking is available. However, the hotel is difficult too find by car. A huge thumbs up for this delightful hotel.

Our three night stay in the Hotel Prinsenhof in Bruges was great. The staff were very friendly, the hotel was in an excellent location and the rooms were very good. It's only a five minute walk to the centre of Bruges and anothe five to the further away attractions.
Our room was lovely with a four poster bed, wardrobe, dresser, chair and table. En-suite facilites were large. Complimentary fruit and water were provided. The room also has a minibar. Free internet access is available from 8 am until 10 pm, in an open area on the first floor.
Breakfast was lovely with a friendly waitress who spoke several languages fluently. Breakfast is served in a small room and the tables are close together which could be a problem if the hotel is full. The communal lounge area is very pleasant with newspapers provided.
Our only problem was with the air conditioning/heating which is centrally controlled - the room was far too hot and we had to open the windows - not a problem in good weather! Be aware that the bar is three chairs around a serving hatch. The parking area is small but visitors do not need a car in Bruges. We would definitley stay in this hotel if visiting ruges again - it is a real gem.

I stayed here for 1 night with my mum. The staff were so friendly and helpful. the room we had was amazing, and it was great we could get UK tv too! Very clean and comfortable, great location for walking round Bruges, and the breakfast was gorgeous. If I go back to Bruges I will definitely want to stay here!

This was my first time in Bruges and although the business being partaken in was rather frustrating, the hotel more than made up for it.

Quite honestly I could fault nothing. I was met with a smile and helpful manner at check-in, treated to a comfortable and well equipped room, and enjoyed fantastic and varied food each morning at breakfast.

Should I find myself in Bruges again, this will definitely be my first choice for accommodation.

We visited this hotel for my 74th birthday, having discovered this gem on a previous visit to Brugge in 2005.
They welcomed me with a bottle of champagne in our room, which was beautifully furnished, and with all the nice amenities too.The staff go out of their way to make you feel at home, and nothing is to much trouble.
The Breakfaasts are something special also.Beautifully freshly pressed Orange juice, and a bottle of Champers every day to make Bucks Fizz,or have on its own, with either a hot or fully Continental breakfast.
If you do not try it you will not know what you are missing!!

We had a nightmare finding our way to the hotel as much of Bruges was dug up with roads closed. The hotel very kindly sent us a map of how to get there but unfortunately maps & my wife just don't get on. We finally arrived in a somewhat frazzled state after a 350 mile drive from Germany & were pleasantly surprised by the hotel, our lovely large room & a very good bathroom. There is parking for about 6 cars & the hotel is very conveniently situated in the town centre. The staff that we met were very pleasant & went out of their way to be helpful. The breakfast was terrific if a little expensive at 18.50 euros & my wife was disappointed that there was'nt any tea making facilities in the room!
We never actually saw the front of the hotel because the road had been dug up & was just a sea of mud. A lovely small hotel with lots of character.
