I was there for a parade of the Grenadier Guards at the occasion of their 360th anniversay. Guards Band gave a performance followed by a parade.

There is such a buzz about this square. Everything is spotlessly clean and people just wander around gazing in awe at the wonderful buildings. The biggest downside for me about Brugge, being a vegetarian, is that they cook their chips in animal fat. I was soooo disappointed that I couldn't join in the frite and mayo brigade. Still, the waffles were delicious :) I love sitting people watching and if you can find some shade this is a great thing to do here. Dont forget to look up at the lovely buildings.

A square where people relax and take it easy - under the shade of the palace, watch out for the waffle van and shop and definitely a nice place to have a drink

The romantic / the history buff / the architect / the tourist all will come to you at once when you spend time here. It's what Brugge is. It's what defines it.
There are horses that come in once it's evening. There is a belfry. There is a parade and all that is needed to make it feel like the perfect place to be in. Grab some Frits and you're good to go!
