Great hotel right next to one of the canals, exceptional staff,5 minute walk to center of town, comfortable clean room, delicious breakfast. The four of us traveling together would go back and stay there in a heart beat. Can't say enough. We loved it

I had previously traveled to Bruges with my husband and returned with my mother and her best friend. It was difficult to find a hotel that could accomodate all three of us in one room, however I'm very glad that Adornes was our selection. The hotel is located right on the canal an easy 10 minute walk from the Belfry. The staff are very friendly, and the room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. For the turn down service they even made up the fold out bed that I would be sleeping on which ended up being more comfortable then many normal hotel beds I've slept on in Europe. The breakfast was included with our room and offered a typical European breakfast of breads, cheeses, meat, hardboiled eggs, yogurt, and fruit. Everything I tasted was fresh and delicious. The hotel does offer free bike rentals but my mom was not up to joining the crowded streets on a bike. I would definitely staty here again when returning to Bruge and felt we received and excellant value in this hotel.

Stopped here for a couple of nights on our way back from Austria. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, sorting out dinner reservations for us at nearby restaurants and providing us with useful local information.
We borrowed the free hotel bikes and this was a great way of seeing the city, especially as the Hotel is slightly out of the main centre. The bikes meant that we saw so much more than trying to explore on foot.
The hotel was very clean & comfortable but the rooms were getting a little bit tired and in need of some refurbishment, particular the bathroom, which only had a handheld shower over the bath.
The breakfast buffet in the hotel was very good with plenty available to set you up for the day.
The hotel had free wi-fi and free secure underground parking, which was most welcome.
Would definitely recommend this as a place to stay if visiting Bruges

I used the reviews on here to book this hotel at short notice and we struck gold. From a cosy breakfast experience with sincere smiley staff to the fountain of knowledge on reception aka Rik, we just loved this place. Parking free & secure! Grabbed a bike each from the hotel courtyard, FREE OF CHARGE, cycled to Damm (4km) along lovely safe canal route and had mega ice cream at Aunty Marie Tea Room; then we thought its only another 8km to cycle the lovely route to Holland to a town called Sluis, brilliant shops and cafes; brillaint day out. At night Rik advised to go to a bar off main market square where beer is 11.5%; we are not beer monsters at all but what a great place and the lights went out after 3 pints :-)

We did have a side room on to the road that does suck the noise in, but no big deal.

Pointless adding more descriptions of this place, BRILLAINT!

Room Tip: get a courtyard for low noise or canal facing for good view.

An excellent small hotel, ideally sited for easy access to the centre of Bruges. Have stayed many times over the years, usually at Christmas, but this year we went early September and hit the warm sultry weather. Winter or summer the atmosphere created by the staff is friendly and very welcoming. Log fire at breakfast in the winter makes a nice start to the day. Rooms pleasant, although the TV is limited to local programmes, a very minor downside. Would certainly recommend a stay .

Room Tip: Can be noisy with the windows open in the hot weather so request a rear room. No issue in the winter...

I would have liked to give this hotel 3.5 stars as it is better than 3 but not quite 4.

It is situated in an excellent location, about 5 mins walk from the main town square in Bruges (Brugge) next to one of the canals. The walk into to central area is mostly alongside a canal and is very picturesque.

The staff at the hotel are exceptionally friendly and helpful. We arrived quite late in the evening and the concierge phoned a restaurant to ensure they could accommodate us as it was past their final order taking time. We also had travel problems during the day (resulting in our late arrival) and again, the receptionist couldn't have been more helpful.

I have stayed here before, several years ago and my memories of the room last time were better than the room allocated this time. It was spacious enough but situated on the top floor (there is a lift if required) with wooden roof timbers exposed. The bathroom was a disappointment as although large enough, there was no shower available that you could stand up in. There was a bath with a shower attached to the taps but nowhere for it to fix above your head meaning that I had to sit in the bath and direct the shower over me in order to take a shower. My opinion is that the majority of people visit Bruges for long weekend trips rather than extended holidays and most would prefer a shower cubicle rather than a bath whilst there for a short break.

The bed was comfortable and modern fan cooled the room on a hot night. One thing to remember though if you stay there in the summer - the hotel is right next to a bridge on the canal and the road is cobbled. With windows open any cars that pass do make a lot of noise - although this bothered my wife more than me. Also it seems as though mosquitoes could be a problem judging by the screen over the open window and a mosquito repellent provided in the room. We didn't have any problems at all though.

Breakfast is a delight in this hotel. A good buffet selection served in a light and airy room. Stay at Easter and they give you Easter eggs! (not on this trip though).

The other good thing about this hotel is the offer of free secure parking in an underground car park, just round the corner from the hotel. In Bruges, parking is at a premium so this is a big benefit.

Overall, I think this hotel is a good place to stay for a few days. It offers comfortable accommodation that is near to the town centre at reasonable prices.

Room Tip: The rooms on the ground floor are quite large compared to the one we stayed in on the top floor

I highly recommend this hotel!
The Hotel Adornes is perfect for many reasons. It was very easy to find and has free parking, making it a perfect place to stay having driven from the UK (Just over 4 hours from Hampshire).
The hotel staff were extremely polite and helpful, giving us a a city map on arrival and advice as to how best to see the city. They also offered us the best room they had available for the 1 night we booked, this room, #8, was AMAZING, it had three very large windows looking out onto the canal and bridge. The room was very clean and had everything we needed.
The hotel is just enough out of the main tourist areas that the nights are really peaceful, but the main tourist areas, the Markt with the Belfry is 5-10 minutes walk - which doesn't seem that at all as you are walking along the canal and lovely streets!
The breakfast was great; breads, cakes, sliced meats, sliced cheeses, eggs, various cereals, yoghurts, various stewed fruits, fruit juices, coffee and various teas.
We will definately be going back when we next visit Brugge.

Room Tip: Request room #8 if it is available, if not request a room on facing the canal.
