“Delightful hotel in centre of Bruges”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 August 2013

Delightful little hotel in the centre of Bruges, overlooking the canal. Located 5 - 10 minute walk from the main central square, it was a perfect location for staying in and exploring the beautiful town of Bruges.
Our room was on the first floor overlooking the canal. It was clean and comfortable, and as a previous reviewer said, the beds were very comfortable.
The owner (Rik?) was exceedingly helpful in reccommending the best places to see and visit during our brief 24 hour stay. He gave excellent advice on what attractions and restaurants/cafes to avoid, due to their propensity of ripping off tourists. He also managed to reserve us a table for diner in an excellent restaurant, where we had a stunning meal. We would have never have found it or got a reservation without his help.
The hotel also has an underground parking facility, which is a huge bonus in a town like Bruges. All in all, a lovely little hotel and I have no hesitation in reccommending Hotel Adornes to anyone who is planning a visit to Bruges.

We stayed in family room #1 in July and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Our room was located on street level and it was not a problem at all. The hotel is located right on a canal, in a very quiet part of town. It is a beautiful 5 - 10 minute walk along the canal into the city center. The hotel is very clean and our room was very spacious. The bathroom was huge! The hotel has free WiFi in all of the rooms. The breakfast was a wonderful European style buffet. The staff was friendly, helpful and very knowledgable. As we drove to Brugge from Paris, we were pleased that the hotel offered "free parking" in a nearby parking garage structure. Our favorite part of the this hotel however was the use of their "free bikes"! There is a beautiful bike path in Brugge which is easily accessible from the hotel. The path is beautiful and circles around the city. In addition to our relaxing bike trip on the bike path, we also rode the bikes into the city center which was so much fun! I can't say enough about this hotel. The price is amazing for all of the wonderful amenities you receive; free parking, free Wifi, free breakfast & free bikes. I highly recommend this hotel and I know you would not be disappointed if you stayed here. I hope you have found this information helpful and that you have a wonderful visit to Brugge!

Room Tip: We stayed in Room One which very comfortably slept 3 people!

We chose the hotel for its beautiful location beside a canal and because it is in a lovely old building, but we'll go back because it was a great place to stay. Our twin was one floor up and had a great canal view. The room was well equipped and spotlessly clean while the bed was one of the most comfortable I've slept in. The breakfast selection is excellent and the hotel staff are friendly, welcoming and very knowledgeable. We were there during a heat wave and they had thoughtfully provided a fan in our west facing room.
We got a personal thank you email from Rik after we left with some great photos and web links of Bruges. Unexpected and very thoughtful.

It is walkable from the train station if you don't have heavy luggage. We had lunch and took lots of photos on the way but we estimate walking time from the station through the centre to Adornes at about 20 mins.

Room Tip: The canal view is lovely but on very sunny summer days west facing rooms may get warm in the evening...

Fantastic hotel 5 mins stay from the centre of Bruges. The hotelier, Rick, couldn't do enough to help us and told us about all sorts of things such as a free harp concert that we wouldn't have known about otherwise.
The room was small but clean and well equipped. There was a communal fridge and bikes to rent for free too.
A really enjoyable stay in a fantastic town. Thanks!

We only spent 1 night in this charming, small hotel on our way back to England from Germany and were not disappointed. Situated in a relatively quiet part of the historic centre of Bruge, within a 10 minute walk to the centre. Excellent parking, free wi-fi, good breakfast included in the rate. We booked a large room and the size was good. Do not expect a luxurious room and bathroom. Very friendly staff eager to provide us with information as to what to do and where to go in Bruge.

This is a really lovely old canal house that is now a hotel. It takes about 10 minutes to walk to the centre and bicycles are provided for free for those that want them. Free parking is also included. The hotel is great value for money, the staff are unfaultingly polite and helpful and the breakfast which is included was generous and fresh. This is not for the five star travellers but definitely for those that like to enjoy the local experience.

Room Tip: Choose a room overlooking the canal

Spent one night in Bruges in the hotel Adornes. The staff were very welcoming and were extremely helpful about what to do whilst in Bruges. The room was lovely, well presented and clean. The room was on the ground floor and although there were people walking past it wasn't noisy but instead made you feel a part of the city. The hotel had its own car parking spaces in a underground car park. The hotel was every accepting of our dog who traveled with us. Only negative point was that the breakfast wasn't very extensive and could have been laid out a bit better but was still of a good standard.
