“Nice hotel in a good location”
Reviewed 12 April 2013

We stayed for three days at this hotel. Very welcoming, friendly and helpful people.
Our room was good - with heating that worked just as it should and a nice bathroom - brilliant shower
Breakfast was great.
Would have been nice to have tea and coffee making facilities in the room but otherwise a really nice place to stay in a good location.

I echo all the other glowing tributes and cannot find fault with the hotel.

It is a small, cosy hotel with a personal touch. It is located close to the centre and overlooking a fairly quiet square. The hotel has a pleasant ambience and decor and Danny and Ruben are welcoming, courteous and helpful; I was always addressed by name. On arrival we were given a map and an overview as to where to go. Our room was spotless, nicely decorated, reasonably sized with a comfortable bed. The bathroom was marbled and, like the bedroom, had been recently refurbished. Breakfast includes teas, coffee, hot chocolate, juices, cereals, fruit salad, yoghurt, rolls, bread, cheese, cold meat and jams (no cooked items).

We would definitely return and definitely recommend to family and friends.

Situated in a quiet square close to the centre of Bruges, The Biskajer is ideally located for bars, restaurants and shops and is just a couple of minutes walk to Markt and the Bell Tower. The patrons, Daniel and Reuben, are friendly and keen to please - nothing is too much trouble for them. The rooms are well-maintained, spacious and comfortable and the hotel has recently been refurbished. Breakfast consists of a continental buffet with a wide selection of pastries and breads, yogurts, cereals, cold meats, cheese and fresh fruit. Freshly brewed coffee and tea is brought to the table. There are no tea and coffee making facilities in the room but afternoon tea is available through room service at a bargain price of 2.20€ per person.

The hotel was fantastic, the rooms were lovely and the bar was very intimate and peaceful. What made the hotel so good were Danny and Ruben, the owners. They were very attentive, friendly and full of advice on where to go and what to eat. We loved the daily towel shaped animals that were left on the bed, as well as the chocolates and sweets which accompanied them! The rooms were cleaned everyday and all toiletries were provided. I rate this hotel very highly and you can't beat the location either!

We had a great stay here. Dany and Reuben (the owners) could not have been more accommodating, and friendly. Dany gave us a very detailed map and directions, restaurant recommendations, and a warm smile and greeting every time we came back from the hotel. The room was basic, but clean and inviting. The breakfast was sufficient, and was a nice start to the day. They even have a small little bar and lounge. The location is fantastic! I cannot recommend this hotel enough.

We stayed in this hotel for three nights and can not fault one thing about this hotel. We arrived earlier than the check in time and there was no problem in having our room early. The reception staff were fantastic and nothing was to much trouble and was always on hand to answer any questions we had. The room and bathroom was spotless and warm and the shower was always hot whatever time of the day. We would stay at his hotel again and be sure to recommend to family and friends.

I only got here today but while browsing attractions in the city on here I feel compelled to give credit where it is due. I wasn't expecting much as it is a very cheap hotel in comparison to the area. But I could not be happier. Great big double bed, a huge marbel bathroom with both a bath and a walk in shower, and everything is spotlessly clean. Also the guy on reception (I didn't get a name) was so nice on arrival, going out of his way to recommend restaurants in the area after enquiring if I'd eaten yet, and showing me around the lifts, breakfast area, etc. He even googled a sushi restaurant in the area and marked it off on a fairly detailed map map of the city which he supplied to me free of charge. So far so good, certainly helped me to relax and enjoy the rest of my night!
