“Good hotel with professional guest services”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 July 2014

Centrally located hotel - Booked 2 rooms - One room was refurnished and very contemporary and comfortable - The other room was not refurnished yet and was more old-fashioned, but known beforehand, so no surprises. Mind while booking if your room has got airconditioning or not. During the summer time it is recommended.
I specifically mention the professional guest services even the after-sales: the hotel mgmt was very professional to resolve an issue we reported after we left. This proves that you're in good hands in this hotel!

Room Tip: Airconditioning is needed during summer time

Location about 5 minutes walk from Markt & Burg and you'll pass half a dozen hotels nearer both as you walk in, but it's a pleasant stroll. Triple room was a good size, as was the bathroom. Hot & cold buffet breakfast was excellent, as was the bar and the terrace area, perfect to wind down in after a hard day doing nothing. Take mozzy repellant for later on in the evening though.
Staff were superb, would definitely stay again but would book a room with air-con (not all rooms have it, and even though the widows opened fully, it would have been a bit more comfortable.)
Don't miss the Halve Maan brewery tour & don't be afraid to eat there afterwards, the food, especially the Flemish stew, is superb.

My wife and I stayed one night at the Hotel in July. The room was very nice and we booked one with an air conditioner which made the 30º+ heat outside much more bareable. The staff was very nice and could speak multiple languages very well. We loved it and will be back again.

Location is great, about 7-8 minutes away from the center. There were other hotels directly in the center, but it might be louder and from what I saw, they will not be quite as nice and likely significantly more pricey. You're more likely to get a much nicer room by going just a few minutes away from the center.

Room was very clean and comfortable. Free Wifi (could have a stronger signal though).
Hotel staff are very helpful.
Check in time is at 2pm, but when i arrived at 12, my room happened to be ready.
Breakfast was nice.
Would recommend.

Our experience in Bruges was certainly better due to this hotel. Very good and calm location, near the center but not inside of the touristic area. Kind and helpful staff, indicated us good restaurants nearby. Wonderful breakfast!

My boyfriend and I stayed here for two nights in June. When we booked our weekend, we didn't realize that it was Pentecost, and Bruges would be packed with tourists and most establishments would be closed.

Location: It's not in the middle of the Markt, but it's only a short walk away. Absolutely worth it to be away from the tourist crowds, noise, and overpriced restaurants.

Room: We originally booked the Suite, but upon arrival, we were told there was a leak in the room above and our Suite room was not available. It would have been appreciated if we were notified about the room change in advance by cell or email, but at least we had a replacement room. We were put in a very nice Club room. The Club room had central air conditioning, a clean bathroom, and a comfortable bed. We could not hear the street or other guests from our room.
The only complaint I have about the bathroom is the odd positioning of the shower head. Instead of being mounted on the wall to spray down the length of the shower/tub, it is mounted on the adjacent wall to spray across the short width. It makes it a bit tricky for couples to enjoy the shower together and more likely for you to get water on the floor.

Bar: The bar is really cozy as well. My boyfriend and I spent the evening down at the bar after dinner one night. I ordered a latte, and my latte was delivered with some chocolates and a small cookie. They have a decent and affordable beer selection too.

Staff: Everyone we spoke with was very helpful and polite.

Room Tip: The Club rooms have central air conditioning. The Suite does not.

The hotel is well situated, staff friendly. The rooms were clean, but a bit too dark (dark beige walls and not enough lamps). Maybe it is trendy but made reading difficult. Clean.
Breakfast OK and they provided gluteinfree bread too, when asked for.
The wifi connections was very poor.
