This is really a lovely little hotel for exploring Bruges. The style and decor is traditional and homely, and the owner is very friendly, who is happy to chat and share her knowledge of Bruges (and other parts of Belgium too!)
Breakfast is a typical Continental buffet, with meats, cheeses and croissants... More than a fair start to the day for the price.
Location is great, 10 min walk from station and about 7 from the main square. Also a minute from a fantastic old church (whose name escapes me). Saying how close it is, it is however far enough that it is not so trodden past as to make it noisy at night. Really a great location

Would definitely recommend and use again!

the location was a blessing and a curse. easy walk from train station and very close to everything in old bruges. however, we stayed in the lower floor room 1 and found it to be very noisy because of the narrow cobble street echo and the amount of pedestrians and others. the hotel is older and so was our mattress which showed it's age. the floor was tiered due to updating presenting falling potential late at night. but because it is older it does have bruges charm. and the en suite was small but updated and comfortable. breakfast buffet was limited but we enjoyed being able to eat in the outside courtyard. staff and owner were friendly but early checkout became a negotiation. their room rate was reasonable plus. if you opt for this hotel my advice would be to avoid the lower floor rooms by confirming upstairs in advance.

Room Tip: away from street and upstairs

Hotel de Goezeput was a wonderful base for touring Bruges!
The staff, one of whom was the owner, went out of their way to make our stay a good one. Our room was clean and comfortable. The view from our window (15) was outstanding, and the breakfast delicious.
This hotel was a delightful mix of old world charm and modern touches.

Room Tip: We had 15 on the top floor. It was great

Lovely clean hotel very close to town.
Lovely breakfast and friendly staff.
Stayed in downstairs double which was clean and bed very comfy. Really quiet street so no noise or disturbance at night.
Would definitely visit again and recommend.

stayed with a party of 5 for the football and found this hotel to be lovely, clean and inviting. I would love to return. We were late down for breakfast but they were ever so kind and gave us some cereal

Stayed with my partner in a superior room at the top of the hotel after easy booking with booking.com. From the moment we arrived the customer service was friendly and helpful. Stayed two nights but had to leave early on the Monday to catch Eurotunnel. The lovely lady on reception offered us an early breakfast if we wanted it and nothing seemed too much trouble.
Lovely comfy bed and clean en-suite bathroom with excellent power shower. Downsides: fresh milk rather than UHT for breakfast would have made for a nicer tea/coffee. Bed pillows a little lumpy.
However, for a busy and touristic place such as Bruges, the hotel was in a quiet and peaceful road but within a 5 minute walk of all the restaurants, bars, cafes and sights. I would recommend this hotel to others who were considering a reasonably priced, two star hotel with character.

Room Tip: Ask for an upstairs room with a city view.
