“Best Accommodation in Bruges”
Reviewed 7 June 2014

We only stayed 1 night at this place and were so impressed by the beauty and cleanliness of this venue. The location is wonderful and they have the most spacious rooms in all of Europe. This establishment is on par with any 5 star hotel and the decor is absolutely beautiful. Breakfast was included in our rate and this is a must as there is everything from boiled/scrambled eggs to muesli/cereals, yoghurt, fresh juices, croissants to die for, toast/breads, cheese, salami and other cold meats, coffees/teas. If ever we go back to Bruges, this is the hotel we will stay at. Thank you to the lovely friendly lady and her father who helps her run this place.

Room Tip: We were in Room 24, which was on the 2nd floor and was very spacious and quiet.

This hotel is superb, in a great location, well appointed and well run. We last stayed here five years ago and the high standards we experienced have been maintained.

The location, in a quiet street just five minutes walk from the Markt, is perfect. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with silent air con. A good nights sleeps is guaranteed due to blackout curtains, absolute silence and comfortable beds. The bathrooms are well finished with a bath and decent shower.

The dining room, breakfasts only, is very grand and spacious. A very varied continental breakfast is provided with cooked eggs on request.

Extras here include a lift, room safe for a 20€ deposit, a tea/ coffee tray for 10€ and fast free wi-fi. The couple who own the Patritius are very friendly and speak good English. Taxis can be booked from Reception, ours were always early and reasonably priced.

The location is five minutes walk to the Markt and Belfry, past our favourite cafe, Pain Quotidien, with the tastiest tea in Bruges.

Room Tip: Room 38 is very quiet.

A gem of a place, within close walking distance of the center Markt as well as some fine restaurants (all budgets, and of course, lots of beer to choose from). Clean, spacious rooms, with the option to run a load of laundry on site (Euros 10). Full european breakfast with scrambled eggs to get your day off to a good start. The croissants are so flaky and tasty! Family owned and operated, so as cozy as a B&B, with more room. And an elevator to boot for that heavy bag. Parking available for those in need. I suggest walking the city in the evening - after all the day trippers have left and most folks are in restaurants - and you'll capture the magic of Bruges. I loved the little fridge in the room with a coke or beer available (reasonable charge).

Stayed here for three nights and the hotel is in a perfect central location for walking around the city. It's about a five minute walk to the center Markt and just a few minutes from the part of town with three windmills. The staff is friendly and helpful and the breakfast is great. Two big pluses are that the hotel has an elevator and they will also allow you to wash your clothes there. We paid 10 Euros to wash a big load of clothes and dry them. There is also AC in the hotel.

We stayed overnight at Hotel Patritius and the place was very clean, updated while maintaining its long history. The host and staff were excellent and the breakfast was delightful. The hotel was located very close to the city centre. As a bonus there is laundry service for a single load, Euros 10.00 includes the detergent, washing & dryer.

Highly recommended.

My wife and myself stayed for 2 nights at the Hotel Patritius and had a lovely time. Our hosts were very helpful and the room very spacious, breakfast was typical European with cold meats, cheese, fruits, cereal etc. All lovely.
The hotel itself is close to the town centre ( 5 minute walk) but in a very quiet street so no noise what so ever.
I would recommend this hotel for a long weekend away or even a longer stay if that was your plan.

This hotel is just a few blocks from one of the main squares in Brugge. Most Brugge sites are walkable from the Hotel Patritius. This is a beautiful hotel with a lovely garden in the back to relax. The breakfast area is particularly nice as well. The staff were friendly and helpful. Would recommend.
