“Has its pros and cons”
Reviewed 26 July 2013 via mobile

The location is pretty good- we hired a bike for the day and found it was excellent value for 10 euro. We were able to use them right until the next morning. Lights for the bikes were provided, so we were able to see beautiful Bruges at dusk. The breakfast was good and rather filling, except it ended way too early at 9.30am. One kitchen staff in particular was pretty rude as well- we experienced this on two seperate occassions. Our room was spacious, but it was way too hot and stuffy during the night. Also something smelt absolutely putrid during our time there and when we told hostel staff they were really unhelpful in solving the problem, telling us there was no smell, even though it was completely obvious that there was something festering in our room. The showers are pretty useless, don't expect a good one at this hostel.
Overall, this hostel had its pros and cons, but nothing could ruin our fantastic time in Bruges!

Its one of the best hostels in Europe.
nice spacious rooms, good breakfast, friendly , helpful staff at reception, nice premises and location near station.
only negative could be , bathrooms in room are very small where even a child cannot take proper bath.Price is cheap !! what more you can expect from a hostel????

Room Tip: two bedded rooms in lawn area are the best.

This is a more than adequate hostel, good location with room out the front for the children to let of steam after a busy day.
Staff are good and the food is more than adequate with vegetarians catered for.
Rooms are clean, bathrooms are ok our group stayed in the comfort rooms in the separate annexes and we were more than happy.
Overall a good location 20 minutes walk into Bruges, pharmacy 5 mins, hospital 15 mins.

Room Tip: Comfort rooms are in a separate annex and provide better accomodation.

We stayed for one night. I had a bed in a female dorm and my companion had a bed in a male dorm.

The rooms were clean and functional. The bed was comfortable and the hostel was strict about night-time noise, so I had a good night's sleep. Breakfast was simple but adequate.

The hostel was busy with a mixed clientele including school/scout groups. I've stayed in hostels with a lot more atmosphere than this and, if you're a lone traveller looking to socialise, this may not be the right place for you. We just needed a base for sightseeing and it was ideal.

The hostel is well positioned, only 5 minutes walk from the edge of the old city and close to the railway station. It's on a main road and easy to find. We arrived by car and parked easily on site although spaces were limited.

I've seen comments about the cleanliness of the facilities, but it was clean enough when I was there.

The hostel was good value. We enjoyed our stay there. Everything was clean, the breakfast was simply but good and the service was well. The hostel is a five-minute walk out of the center. There are free maps available from the most visited cities in Flandres.

The hostel is clean and comfortable and the staff were helpful and accommodating, perfectly adequate for individuals or groups on a tight budget wanting a bed for the night. Breakfast was simple but adequate.
The walk to the outer edge of Brugge only takes 10 minutes which is an advantage, as being further out there is plenty of outdoor garden space, compared to being in the centre where rooms are much smaller and there is no outdoor space.

Overall quite a sterile sort of place - A little far out, rooms okay and staff friendly enough, but the bathrooms were disgusting. The showers were full of hair and smelled like urine, and the toilets were even worse. Also Internet access was complete crap - apparently the router could only deal with a certain number of connections so you were lucky to connect in te first place, and then it dropped out all the time. Breakfast lame.
