Lovely staff, sufficient rooms with everything you need for a nite or two. Breakfast perhaps a bit above average for this level hotel and the bar above average - even non-drinkers have to have a meeting point before going out to dinner and the "rose room" comfortable even for a single woman, with a HUGE selection of beers. Was there an elevator? The stairs were a bit challenging but also charming!

We have stayed at the hotel twice, and it is way better that a comparably priced hotel that we tried. It will be our first choice hotel for any subsequent trips to Bruges. A great central location, the hotel itself is quirky and charming, its staff genuinely friendly and helpful, the breakfast is substantial and very good, and the bar is somewhere to retire to after dinner out. The bedrooms are small and minimalist, reflecting the price, but we didn't go to Bruges to stay in the room, so this wasn't a problem. A hotel you will remember fondly and go back to, and that represents good value for money

The location of the hotel was brilliant, a 2 minute walk form the Markt, Bruges is quite small so everywhere is in good walking distance from the Markt square. The staff were so friendly from arrival to check out, the girl on reception even let us print our boarding passes for the flight home.

We booked the ''Discover Bruges Package'' which was great as it included b&b, one evening meal in a nearby restaurant, trip on the canals&entry into the local brewery.

From other reviews people have said about the small rooms but as theres so much to do in Bruges we weren't in the room alot, only to sleep so they were just right for that.
I'd defo recommend this hotel to others and great value for money.

Stayed for three nights as part of a 'cultural' visit (drinking, sightseeing and more drinking) and found the hotel absolutely charming. Lots of old wood and proper floorboards, quirky narrow staircases all add to the overall atmosphere. The staff are amazing, with an incredible knowledge of both the local area and the beers which they serve in the wonderful Cafe Rose Red. Nothing is too much trouble and nothing was rushed - they always had time for us. Great breakfast (don't know what they put in the scrambled eggs but they were extremely 'moreish'). All in all a superb place to stay, and located just off the main square as well. Well done - cannot wait to come back.

We stayed in the quad room with our family . Yes it is small but unless you decide to hang out in the room all day this doesn't matter. The room was nicely and simply furnished and what I would expect for the price. Location is fantastic! The hotel has a lovely ambience and good breaky and great having the lovely bar Café Red Rose downstairs. The staff were so friendly and amazing. Only quibble....the bathroom. It is tiny and the shower is a bit old and grotty. If they replaced the shower alone it would make a huge difference. I will definitely consider staying here again . Its good value for money.

We stayed here for one night and that was a Sunday so we didn't get the chance to benefit from the cafe rose red which is part of the hotel as it closes early on Sunday.
Overall the hotel is handy for Bruges centre and the staff are polite. The rooms are functional so what more can you ask for.

The location of this hotel has to be a major winning point - It is round the corner from one of the best eating and drinking establishments in the city - BierHaus Cambrinus - and a really short walk form the main Burg and square. TO BE FAIR - EVERYTHING IN BRUGES IS WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE!

The desk clerk made me smile, as on arrival I offered to show him all our papers and passports, to which he replied" No worries, we are not the police," indicative of the general laid-back attitude of the Belgian foll we encountered.

The room was adequate for the four of us, beds very extra comfy! As previously stated in some reviews the bathroom is tiny... there is little opportunity for privacy - but we were ok with that - but it would probably put mo off staying there again. Having said that. breakfast was plentiful and offered freshly cooked scrambled egg and bacon as well as the usual continental stuff - fresh coffee was divine!

The added bonus of the lovely Cafe Rose Red next to the lobby is extremely convenient - our kids - aged 16 and 7 - went to bed and we could stay downstairs for a drink! The guy behind the bar is more than happy to offer recommendations dfor you - and the pouring of a drink is a real ceremony - with each drink having its own special glass.

Service was unfailingly friendly - room was clean, comfortable and with very little noise. If you are fine with the size of the bathroom there really are no drawbacks.

As for Bruges itself - we loved it - wide open spaces, fab places to eat -(see other reviews_ and enough attractions to fill 3 days with ease - after all its a holiday - a 2-3 hour lunch - an afternoon coffee and cake - beer before dinner - what's not to like!

The atmosphere of the place is calming and friendly - a great city to simply chill out - eat chocolate and drink beer! we liked it so much we are thinking of going back for the new year celebrations. Total class - from start to finish!

"Die IN Bruges" - in your dreams! ( sorry - you'll only get this if you've seen the film!)
