Nice, clean, centrally located place, Not that easy to find for people used to rectangular grid streets ... consult your map carefully, and orient yourself to the tall tower.

Price reasonable. Our room was tiny but quaint. Excellent breakfast. Rose Red Cafe looked pleasant, but it was full (and noisy) when we considered eating there. No problem ... there are good restaurants nearby but off the Markt.

Room Tip: Top floor rooms may be quieter, but we had no problem.

Parked in Interparking car park Biekorf in the centre of Bruges, sat nav directions to address perfect and easy to follow. Car park is very reasonable for city centre parking, 8.70 euros for evenry 24 hours. Hotel a 5 minute walk from car park across the Markt and down a side street. Saw scaffolding set up outside building and when we got into our room, the noise was dreadful...hammering and drilling. I went to reception to see if this was going to be an issue and they tried to find us another hotel immediately, then the owner went up to the workmen and told them to stop immediately. The staff there could not have been more understanding. The work was an urgent fix to the roof, but didn't disturb us again. The room was compact and very clean and comfortable, the housekeeping service was excellent. Breakfast is continental buffet with added eggs and bacon! The absolute winning point to this hotel is its total gem the Cafe Rose Red. Access is via reception or from the street and the atmosphere in there is amazing. Soft lighting, candles, quiet piped music, lovely decor (including hundreds of red roses hanging from the ceiling beams) and a stunning beer menu made this the perfect place to relax after taking in all the sights of christmas in Bruges. I cannot rate the cafe highly enough, the staff know the beer menu (no mean feat....there were about 200!!) and serve each one with a certain ceremony. Tell them what sort of taste you are looking for and they will select a beer to suit. My wife is not a beer drinker, never has been, but she was swayed by several different brews as recommended by the staff and loved them all. Fantastic place, loved every minute we spent in there.

Room Tip: Once roofing finished, room at front, first floor. There is a courtyard at the back which would poss...

Chose hotel based on location and TA reviews.
Location was a block off the main square which was perfect. 15 minute walk from main train station but watch out for the cobbled stone side walks---hard on the luggage.I had emailed the hotel directly to ask about best way to get there but had not received a response, so i decided to walk. Several busses run frequently from station to square so I took the bus back to the station at the end of my trip.
Hotel itself was OK. No lift so glad my room was only on the 2nd floor. Room typically small as expected but good enough for me. Water from sink was black at times but cleared after running a minute or so. I contributed this to construction in and around the hotel. Continental breakfast was decent---good breads and coffee. Cute bar attached to hotel - Red Rose. 1 free drink comes with booking. Too bad last call is at 2230. Would consider returning if I got a good deal.

Room Tip: low floor as there is no lift

Took us awhile to find the hotel arriving at night.

I would suggest if you are taking the bus into town to have a map printed out before you get there. The hotel is only a block from the main Square but off on a side street that is a bit hard to find the first time, even after asking for directions several times.

After 30 minutes of walking around we arrived to a very casual chilly greeting from the girl at the desk. The package we had booked was not as advertised and so we had to just take a room. That was fine, but then the receptionist even took away even the welcome drink I had expected to get when arriving at the hotel. 5 hours on a train, and 35 minutes trying to find the hotel in the dark and instead of a happy arrival in Brugge with a beer in my hand, I get to argue with the receptionist!

The owner later compensated for the mix up in reservations however and the rest of our stay was pleasant. Unfortunately thanks to the reception we got, out of all the hotels we stayed in Europe, we didnt even get the photo of our room that I usually take on arrival in order to remember our time there.

The rooms themselves were small but adequate. My only complaint with the room is the lack of a fridge. Our budget can only handle so many €4.50 per beer, so I like to have a couple before heading out for dinner. Did not try the beers in the bar, I had really expected more atmosphere there, seemed a bit dull the nights we were in town, although granted they were weekdays. I did not find the rooms noisy, as some have said, but then we had a corner room and not sure there were even people in the room next to us.

Breakfast was good and filling.

All in all I would say it was a good stay. Would have given 4 stars except for the receptionist and lack of mini fridge. For its price range of hotel you can do only do much worse then the Cordoeanier, making it perhaps the best hotel in its price range especially considering the location right near the town square.

Enjoyed our stay - pleasant staff - nice room - good breakfast - reasonable price. Very convenient to main square, but tucked away from the crowds. Connecting bar with beers was a treat! Helpful staff, always ready to answer any questions.

My husband, son and I spent a week at this hotel during August. The location was quiet, but only a stone's throw from the market square. The room could have been of a bit better standard - needs a bit of tlc, but it was clean. The website stated that tea and coffee making facilities were available in the rooms, but when we asked, we were told this had been discontinued. Also the choice of channels on the TV was a bit restricted. But then again, we don't go on holiday to watch TV! However, all of the staff in the hotel and bar were lovely - so helpful and knowledgeable about the city and the myriad beers sold in the bar! Particularly the waiter / barman with the Irish girlfriend (sorry, I've forgotten his name!) The breakfast food was what I expected - a good mixture of continental choices, with scrambled eggs and bacon to keep the Brits happy! Overall we had a really good stay.

My husband and I recently spent 3 nights at this hotel. It is in a wonderful location, close to the center of the city but in a quiet area. We bought the "welcome to Bruges" package and it was definitely worth it. The dinner that came with the package was to die for and it also included a canal cruise and brewery visit with beer. We loved our room, it was upstairs in the back with a wonderful view of the Bellfort! Very romantic. The weather was very warm while we were there but the hotel provided us with a fan which kept us comfortable.
When we told the staff we had to check out early in am and were going to miss the breakfast they left us a wonderful bagged lunch at our door to take with us! What a nice touch. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: ask for room upstairs at the back
