Found this little place on Trip Advisor and booked it directly. They were efficient in booking, wonderful hosts in person and we would heartily recommend it. The place is charming, immaculate, and has a fabulous breakfast. Lut is so helpful with info on local restaurants, etc.

Having read all the great reviews on here I was a little nervous I would be disappointed - you simply can't be!

The Setola's: Both Lut and Bruno are very welcoming hosts. They ensure that you have anything that you want however they never intrude on your time in Bruges. Lut runs a book of restaurants that guests add to when they eat somewhere to recommend - it is the bible for your stay - we chose one restaurant for each night of our stay frmo this book and we ate very well each time! Both the Setola's are chatty, fun and the perfect hosts!

The B&B: The house is fabulous - the three guest rooms are on the second floor of the house. If you like art you will love this house with its stained glass windows, canvasses on the wall and sculptures adorning every nook.

The Rooms: There are three rooms, Orange, Red and Lilac. We stayed in the Orange room and adored it. The room is bright and airy. The room has a mezzanine above the room which also has a double bed (although the ladders are steep and the ceilings a little low from up there!) The room has tea and coffee making facilities, TV and an ensuite shower room (no bath).

Breakfast: I know it seems wierd to have a section on its own but it truly deserves one! Every day Lut made a stunning buffet breakfast of yogurts, cereals, fruits, cooked meats, cheeses, breads, danish pastries and fruit juices (all freshly squeezed). As we were there over Easter Lut left an easter egg or bag of chocs on our plate every day and on my birthday she ran up the stairs to greet me with a beautiful plant as a birthday gift!!!

In summary this is the friendliest, most comfortable place I have ever stayed. I would not trade all teh hotels in Belgium for this little gem.

My husband and I stayed in Bruges at this B & B for 4 nights; Lut was
absolutely fabulous (the B&B owner). The location is great and they rooms were perfect. The beds were comfortable, the breakfasts great, I could go on...there are only 3 rooms, so you really feel like you are living in Bruges for a brief period of time. Lut also provides a great deal of assistance/advice about where to go/eat, so you you make the most of your time in the town.

We were sad to leave; if you have booked a room here, be certain that
you will enjoy it. The B&B is from the 1700's and they are refurbishing it, the top floor (where guest stay--3rd floor) is finished and modern, but you can see the old timbers in the ceiling. Very romantic & pleasant.

We were in Bruges for 4 nights, and this B & B was perfect! The room was clean and spacious, with VERY comfortable bed/pillows/blankets. There was also a little TV to entertain us. The breakfast was awesome, with all the fresh coffee, OJ, pastries, ham/cheese, yogurt, fruits, cereal,... you get the idea! Our host was so gracious and gave us tips on restaurants and the weather and made sure things were going well (it sprinkled on/off while we were there). Location - couldn't be beat being 5 min. from Grote Markt. Bruge is small, but a wonderful town - everyone very friendly and speaks English. We couldn't be happier with the experience!

Like everyone else said, this place is amazing! The owners are gracious and helpful. When we arrived, they gave us a map and told us where a park and playground were - we were traveling with two kids (6&9) and made other helpful recommendations.

Our room had a "loft" where the kids slept. They loved feeling like they were in a tree house. The bathrooms, beds, and food were all great. Check out is 10:30, but you can store your luggage at the house until your ready to leave.

Definitely give yourself at least two days in this beautiful town. It's packed during the day with tourists, so having two nights was really a nice way to see the town without all the crowds. The Quasimondo bike tour was a great city tour.

I suggest you email them before your arrival to get directions to their B&B from the train station. It's just 3 blocks from the main square, so it's cheaper to take the bus to the main square and walk from there vs. taking a cab.

We stayed with Bruno and Lut Setola from the 18-22nd December 2006 and would gladly recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a place to stay in Brugges. The B&B is located in a quiet side street that's about a 5 minute walk from the renowned Markt Square. Lut not only provides an amazing continental breakfast every morning but also provides loads of complimentary snacks to munch on throughout the day as you come and go. By far the greatest thing about this quaint little place that it is EXTREMELY clean as well as being very affordable. Lut has a heart of gold and was a fountain of knowledge when it came to what to see and do in Brugges and the surrounding area. I would definitely stay with Bruno and Lut again and again and again because they were warm, friendly and their quality of service is unsurpassable.

Our hostess could not have been more helpful and friendly, and the accomodation was top class,
I would ceryainly use this B & B again if i'm ever back in Brugge.
