“Lovely hotel close to everything.”
Reviewed 20 June 2012 via mobile

We stayed here for a long weekend and it was perfect for what we wanted. Very close to the main square and ideal for the usual sightseeing. We just walked everywhere which is the best way to see Bruges.
Our room was fairly spacious and bathroom was pleasant although not much room to shower over the bath. Breakfast room is really nice with the usual continental style breakfasts of meats, cheeses, breads, cereals, boiled eggs etc.
Our only negative, if you can call it that, was their reluctance to add lots of ice to our gin and tonics. We asked if we could just have a glass of but she would not do that, just put another cube of ice in each glass.
That aside, if we go back we'd definitely stay there again.

I was one of a party of 12 English male golfers who stayed for 3 nights at this luxurious hotel. Bedroom was clean and spacious and very comfortable and although at the front of the hotel there was no disturbance from the bar and hostel located opposite the hotel. Main lounges and bar area were very comfortable and breakfast was very good with a wide variety of food available. The staff were friendly and helpful and special praise to Marie De Plancke who was there every day and evening covering the reception and bar. She was professional, friendly and courteous and always had a smile on her face. Nothing was too much trouble for her and she helped make our stay that much more enjoyable. Excellent hotel, which is considerably enhanced by the superb service she provided.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back will probably be quieter as there is a bar and hostel opposite the front of the ho...

Lovely hotel! We were upgrated from deluxe room to suite - it was really fantastic!
Vintage-style deco with three large windows and long balcony, crystal chandelier, we felt like at the palace. The great bathroom (with bath and shower, absolutely clean and new) also had a window. The bed was huge and it was the most comfortable bed I ever had indeed!! For this price (168 Euro if i'm not mistaken) it was a perfect deal! Free breakfasts in the very pleasant hall had no complains. Location was convenient - just two hundred meters form the main square. I will undoubtedly be back.

We had a superior room at the back on the first floor that was quiet, floor to ceiling windows and a great sitting area. We enjoyed open windows in sunny and 70 degree F days. Easy to walk everywhere and quiet/tranquil common areas that are decorated like a museum. AC was not much help nor needed. Great stay and fridge in the room for extra beers!

- Location: 5 minutes walk to downtown, very good location.
- Frontdesk: helpfull and friendly
- Room (stayed in a standard): really big room, medieval style with a chandelier, sofa, writing desk, huge windows, seems like those castles room with big curtains. Modern bathroom, with bathtub for one.
- Breakfast: good. Had to ask for coffee and milk, kind of old way of serving breakfast.
- Free internet at the whole hotel
Hotel overall: new, middle age stylish, clean, nice, quiet at night, good sleep. Could improve breakfast.

This hotel is brilliant, we had stayed there before, and returned with friends for the mayday weekend. The staff at reception are so helpful, Thank you to Sebastian for sorting all our train travel arrangements to Ieper. He told us the best way to get a group ticket that would be suitable to get us back from Ieper to Brussels.
The hotel is spotlessly clean, breakfast is excellent and the whole ambiance of the place is wonderful. The rooms and bathrooms are again 1st class. We would not stay anywhere else when we go to beautiful Brugge

Room Tip: Ask to be further away from the hostel opposite.
