We had a superb stay here, bed was very comfortable, the shower was amazing and cleaners tidied our room every day. Staff were helpful and considerate. Very central to all the things you need to see, without being too noisy, To sum up, an excellent hotel, will definitely stay again.

Just returned home from a 4 night stay with 2 friends at Hotel Alegria and we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay!

Veronique was extremely welcoming and gave us some great recommendations for places to visit, bars etc. The room itself was lovely; 2 singles beds with also the option of two fold down single beds which gives the room great flexibility. Lovely decor and room cleaned every day. Complimentary tea and coffee, fridge, smart TV and free wifi also all included.

Breakfast was also very good which comprised of a selection of breads, cheeses and meats, cereal, mini croissants, yogurt and fruit. Veronique also offered the option of an egg cooked as preferred.

Location wise, we couldn't have asked for a better spot. The hotel is located just off the main market square in the centre of the city meaning all of Bruges' bars, restaurants, shops and attractions are easily accessible on foot.

All in all, a great little hotel which I would highly recommend. You won't be disappointed!

We were warmly welcomed. The room was clean and as expected. Breakfast buffet was well stocked and always more than we could eat. Next time we'd try to pack lightly as there was no lift and we were on the second floor! All in all a great little hotel.

This was our second visit to Hotel Algeria and it was as wonderful as our first visit plus more! Our room was lovely and the huge bed with Egyptian cotton sheets was luxurious!! Complimentary tea and coffee were replenished every day in our room and the room cleaned also. The plentiful and very tasty breakfast set us up for each day for the exciting walks to see the sights of Bruges.Veronique was an excellent host always happy and friendly and the Algeria family were always ready to help with directions, what sights to see and even a discount card for museums! Everything was so stress free and we cannot rate this wonderful hotel highly enough! When you want to visit Bruges make sure you stay at Hotel Algeria to complete your holiday or break:-).

Could not fault a single thing, which is quite an accolade as I can usually find something! We had the marshmallow room, and even as the cheapest room in the hotel we had a huge bed and the room was nicely decorated and very clean. Location is amazing, so close to the Markt. Breakfast was great too, with a choice of eggs. Our room was also made up after our first night (we stayed two). We were made to feel very welcome, and the owner (sorry we didn't catch your name) was friendly, offered lots of advise and even lent us a guide book. A really lovely lady. Definitely recommend!

Took my wife here for our anniversary, on the recomendation of a friend who's stayed here half a dozen times. Veronique is the most perfect host, and the hotel is a fabulous mix of old and modern. Can't wait to return and will most certainly stay here again. Will be telling all who will listen about it and encouraging them to go.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking court yard garden offer best views.

I just came back from a lovely trip to Bruges and I would recommed Hotel Alegria to everyone. The hotel is 3 minutes walking from the main square, so it's really close to everything. My room (chocolate room) was big and beautiful, with charming view from the two huge windows!! Tea, coffee and water are provided in the room. The bathroom was big as well, with nice bathtub, and everything looked new and very clean. But the best thing of the hotel is definitely the staff: so friendly and willing to help. They have been wonderful, offering us any kind of help and informations. The best service I've ever had in a hotel, I really felt welcomed! (And breakfast is delicious too!!)

Room Tip: They have big rooms, with wonderful view on the garden, and smaller room with view on the street.
