“Breakfast, fresh orange juice, comfy beds, reasonable rates... great place to stay”
Reviewed 30 August 2014

The delicious breakfasts with eggs (cooked to order), fresh fruit salad, freshly squeezed orange juice and an assortment of fresh cheeses, meats and pastries along with freshly perked coffee are a wonderful way to start the day and add to the already good value here. Veronique is friendly, helpful and a wonderful host - always willing to spend extra time helping the guests and even found us an open apothecary on a day when few were open.
The location is excellent - only steps from the Markt. The garden, with its coach house, is a lovely quiet spot to enjoy a few minutes of down time in the middle of a busy day, book in hand - or a lovely spot to enjoy those breakfasts.
This is a boutique hotel, the rooms are generously sized European Hotel rooms. The beds are very comfortable and the bathroom well stocked with everything one could need including that rare item in Europe - facecloths!
The front rooms can get a bit noisy as this is the route to a main parking garage so if quiet is important, request a garden room especially during festivals or events.
There is no elevator - YET - but the addition, next door, is almost done and it looks lovely. When completed, the elevator will service both areas of the building.
We are looking forward to staying here and seeing the progress the next time we are in Bruges.

Room Tip: Garden rooms are quieter

You'd struggle to get a better location than this. 3 minute walk from main square, and in walking distance of all the attractions. 20 min walk from the train station, approx 8 - 10 euros in a cab. They offer continental breakfasts which vary each day, plus Veronique is happy to cook scrambled egg for those that want it. We I had one of the cheaper rooms which was overlooking the road, naturally you could hear traffic etc but the noise didn't bother us. Would come back to this hotel if we came back to Bruges.

Very well located with just a short walk to the Markt. The beds were very comfortable and the garden was lovely for breakfast or just relaxing. Veronique is an absolute gem: unfailingly pleasant and helpful. The breakfast is very good with freshly squeezed orange juice and she was able to accomodate simple dietary restrictions with no problem. The room faced the street and could get a bit noisy at night, although we were there on the National day weekend which might be an explanantion. The new addition to the hotel is in progress and looks like it will be great. Look forward to seeing it as will definitley stay again when next in Bruges.

Nice hotel to stay during your trip to Brugge. The lady who runs the place is also very friendly. The hotel is in the very centre of the city and only 200 meter from the big market / Belfort.

The only thing I can comment on the location of the hotel is the fact that some drunk people at night may pass by in the same street who may be quiet loud. This could be inconvenient for some.

Dear Guest,

Thank you so much for having taken the time to write this great review and having given us the wonderful ***** ranking.
It really means a lot to us. We will most certainly will look into the change of pressure / temp of the water. Most probably due to the works at that time in the next-door building as we are expanding and connecting tubes. But we more than appreciate us to write this . We only regret we were not informed during your stay with us, as this would have allowed us to look into it and find an immediate solution at that time nevertheless we will examen.
On the key holder there are 2 keys madam one of the room and one of the safe in the cupboard. this information is offered at check in but than we offer much information I'm afraid it was there all the time,I'm so sorry you did not ask as this is an important matter.
As for the pillows they are anti allergic , easy , comfortable and perfect to maintain, there again for guests preferring flat pillows we have extra ones on request.
I'm so sorry this was not mentioned to us as there again your stay would have been even more perfect and we would have made you even more happier.
Nevertheless it is a more than wonderful score madam and we really enjoyed having you as our guest.
Thank you with all our heart!
Yours truly

This is a lovely small Hotel/Guest house very well located close to the main square. There are 2 excellent Restaurants within metres of the Hotel. The breakfasts were very fresh with very good attention to detail. Veronica, the owner, was very friendly & helpful. I would stay there again in a heartbeat. Highly recommended.
