Stayed here for three nights in early Jan 2017. The room was comfortable albeit very small and the decor badly needs updating. We were unable to get the wifi to work during our stay. We had breakfast one morning as we had pre-booked an excursion with an early pick up. The breakfast was nice, everything you'd expect from a continental breakfast really, worth the €6pp.

The staff throughout the hotel were helpful and friendly, check in/check out were easy.

The best bit about this hotel is the location, just a minute's walk from the Markt square. It also has fantastic views over the canal.

The location was the main reason we booked but it's a shame the inside is so dated. They are currently refurbishing the restaurant so maybe the rooms are next on the refurbishing list...

This hotel could not have been better located being right in the centre of Bruges overlooking the river/canals.
On arrival we were thrilled with the location and the lady on reception was very helpful and we could leave cases in reception whilst we parked the car. This lady was the older member of staff, not the young lady and man who were on duty over the Christmas period.
The room was on the second floor and was very spacious with a small sitting area with two armchairs which was pleasant.; The room overlooked the canal and had a very pleasant aspect.
However the Wi-Fi although advertised in all areas of the hotel was practically unobtainable which was very disappointing as we had to be away from the hotel to get any signal.
The breakfast room looked very pleasant, however, the breakfast food left a lot to be desired. The choice was very limited and not if you were later going down for breakfast there was little choice left.

It was also disappointing the despite there being a bar area the bar was not open to enable us to get a drink at the end of the evening and as the hotel locked the door at 10pm it meant that if you wanted a drink you had to stay out to do that rather than being able to relax at the hotel bar with a drink before retiring. This was obviously why we were provided with a key as all staff were done by 10pm.

We had been advised that there were ongoing renovations at the property and whilst they did jot interfere with our stay we did feel that our room was in a section of the hotel that was awaiting renovation and therefore was in need of decoration, although it was kept very clean.

Also the hotel lacked any Christmas atmosphere and not on any occasion did the staff ask if all was satisfactory with our room or services in the hotel.

This was very disappointing and we do not feel that the hotel are promoting the hotel to its full potential and could do more to ensure that guests felt they were important to the hotel.

Room tip: A room overlooking the river/canal. Wi Fi is poor No bar open. Breakfast average

A last minute deal with a standard room which was not standard at all. Peeling wallpaper, no central heating and equipment not useable. We did get an upgrade room the following day which was much better. Front dest staff were very helpful, but kitchen staff were less accommodating and cleaning was not great at all. If you want cheap than it's a good deal, but if you want a city break and luxury then this is not the place to be.

Room tip: Excellent location, hotel with no perks

Just got back from Brugge with friends . We stayed at this hotel 4 yrs ago. We recommended this hotel as we where we'll impressed with it then. Sadly they have let the hotel go....
It is really looking tired and scruffy....it needs a serious make over...I understand there is renovation work ongoing but surely you would make an effort in trying to keep the rest of the place to a decent standard.
The location is ideal, not far from the main square.
Breakfast is ...ok, nothing to write home about.
Really disappointed ☹️

An old building in the photogenic heart of Bruges. An unbelievable location. This corner appears in all the guide books. A Hilton it is not but if you enjoy the character and quirks of an ancient building this is for you. Some other reviewers refer to lack of cleanliness, we saw no dirt, only the patina of age.
Our room was large and comfortable.
