Just came back from a long weekend trip to Bruge. Stated at the Town House which is a lovely short walk from town and really 90 secs to the public/underground parking. The hosts, Sandra and Jason are very friendly and they would do whatever they can to make sure you have a wonderful stay. Their family suite - Cinnamon suite, which consists of a living area, a queen bed, and a separate bedroom for the kids (full size on the bottom and twin on the top) is perfect for our family. kids have their own space (and TV & videos!) The staircase up to the room is a bit steep (and somewhat narrow) and while our 3.5 yr old could manage, it's something to consider if you have a younger child who just started to learn to walk. but if you're healthy adults & with older kids, this is a really great place to stay. would come back again, not just for the fresh squeeze OJ and sunny side ups and fresh bakery and nice yogurt in the morning but it's nice to find a place that feels comfortable when you're away from home. One more note, no keys required - all security code, from front door to your own room. so if the entire family wants to go out their own way in the afternoon (my 6 yr old was ready to do so just to try out the code herself), you surely are enabled!

Room Tip: for a family, i think the Cinnamon suite is the only room available. I think they have 3 other rooms...

I stayed in the Cinnamon suite with my mum and brother for one night on 11 June. On arrival we were greeted warmly by Sandra and shown up to the room. First set of stairs are a little steep but we got used to them quickly. It is aptly named a Suite as it was huge. A large king-size bed and a bunk bed (double at the bottom) was more than sufficient space for us. There is also a living area with a sofa and an arm chair where we could relax for the day. Lovely bathroom with a powerful rain shower as well. There was a bookcase full of books in the room which made me very happy. Lots of art pieces on the walls, and furniture that made me feel at home.

I really liked the room and slept very well but as the weather was warm, we left the windows open at night (we probably could have shut them) and my mum thought the traffic was a little louder than she would have liked. No issues for me at all though.

Breakfast was such a treat - juice and yoghurt (with honey) followed by some fruit, cheese and ham and then a choice of hot breakfast. I picked the omelette with tomato, really yummy. We were so stuffed we didn't have to eat lunch until about 3-4pm that day. Jason also spent some time talking to us at breakfast and to hear their story of giving up corporate life and running a B&B was inspirational.

Really liked the overall feel of the B&B and the ambiance. Would go again if in Bruges.

My husband and I recently spent 2 nights at the lovely Town House in Bruges. It was a wonderful, low key B&B for our short stop in Bruges.

We arrived by train and it was about a 15-20 minute walk from Bruges Centraal station to the B&B. It is totally walkable from the train station, however, keep in mind the bumpy cobblestones you’ll have to drag your suitcase over the whole way there.

We were greeted by the hosts who gave us a warm and welcome greeting and overview of the property and the city. They were very helpful with maps, restaurant & sights suggestions. We stayed in the Vanilla room on the top floor. The stairs to the top floor are steep, which is especially worrisome after a night of drinking lots of Belgian ales! But, they are worth the exercise after all that beer, chocolate, and fries. It was quite the workout!

The room was very lovely. It smelled nice and it was spotless. Very cute decor. The view of the Belfort and cathedral towers was amazing. The bed was truly a huge king-size bed. That was a treat after staying in many smaller beds on our trip. It was very comfortable there. The room came with coffee, teas, water, and chocolates. The bathroom was huge and had a big tub for soaking with a skylight view. The only weird part about the bathroom was that there was no counter space to put your toiletries.

The biggest surprise was the breakfast in the morning--a freshly prepared three course feast! We were able to have eggs, pastries, yogurts, espresso and fresh-squeezed juice every morning. It was totally worth it to have the hearty breakfast so we could skip lunch and focus on snacking (fries/waffles) during the day of sightseeing around town. The hosts were super friendly and we had nice conversations every morning. They were always around to give advice or have a quick chat. It made our stay enjoyable.

The location was a little bit on the outskirts of the main tourist center (Markt). It was about a 5-10 minute walk to the city center. It was nice that it was in a quiet neighborhood, however it was almost too quiet. When we walked back at night it was a little dark and empty, and so at first we were a little concerned. However, in the end, we felt very safe. All this being said, it certainly would not deter us from staying here again!

We highly recommend this B&B for their hospitality, great amenities, value, and breakfast!

Room Tip: The Vanilla room was a great pick for awesome views of the city.

The owners really try hard to make your stay enjoyable. Great advise on what to do and where to eat. Rooms are romantic, and tastefully decorated and look new. We highly recommend this establishment during your stay in Brugge.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights during our visit to Bruge. This is a lovely B & B; beautifully renovated; very high end bathroom with gorgeous fixtures. Breakfast was served in the conservatory; a great space along their central garden courtyard. The food was delicious as was the presentation. Sandra and Jason were wonderful hosts and provided help with restaurant recommendations and sights to see. On the day we left, our cab did not arrive as requested by Sandra. We hoped to catch the 10 am. train to Brussels for our onward Thalys journey to Amsterdam. The clock was ticking... Jason grabbed his car keys, drove us to the train station where we managed to catch the train with not a second to spare. This was over, above and beyond any expectation as a bed and breakfast guest. I expressed my thanks and gratitude to Sandra and Jason in a personal email. You will enjoy your stay!

My husband and I stayed here in May 2014 for three nights and it was the perfect place to stay in the beautiful and busy town of Bruges. It is a little sanctuary at the end of a tourist filled day. We stayed in the Blueberry Room - great room size for a B&B or any hotel - with a lovely bathroom. Thank you Jason for carrying our luggage up and down the stairs which you do for everyone. Sandra guided us through the map of the city which was very helpful. Her breakfasts were delish. Jason lent us an electrical converter (we left ours in an outlet in Amsterdam), and we accidentally took it with us! I'll be sending it back by mail shortly. Great B&B/Hotel - you'll love it.

Room Tip: If you have mobility issues with stairs you may find this B&B not suitable - but Jason will carr...

My husband arranged a surprise birthday treat for my 40th birthday and, based on the great reviews, The Townhouse was his first choice. We were not disappointed. We had the pleasure of staying three nights at this charming bed and breakfast and were delighted. Our room, the Attic Room, was spacious and beautifully decorated with a wonderful view of Bruges. The complimentary toiletries and bottled water were extremely welcoming after our three hour journey from the UK. The Townhouse has clearly been renovated with comfort in mind and this is reflected in the glowing reviews.

On arrival, we were greeted by Jason and Sandra who could not do enough to ensure we had an enjoyable stay. What brilliant hosts, gracious and accommodating and offering useful tips and recommendations for food and drink. Their attention to detail was noted in the wonderful décor and little extras – chocolates, and red wine glasses thoughtfully placed in our room on the second night.

Breakfast each morning was superb. A delicious choice of freshly squeezed juice, tea and coffee in abundance, scrambled egg with smoked salmon and other egg variations, all preceded by fresh fruit, yoghurt with caramelised fruit and granola, and a variety of breads with cheese and ham. This was a great start to our day, and extremely delicious. Jason and Sandra put a lot of effort into attending to your needs.

Well located, beautiful and with a feeling of luxury, we would thoroughly recommend The Townhouse. I am uncertain how it can be beaten with such friendly and attentive hosts. Bruges itself is beautiful, tranquil and at the top of our list of places visited. The Townhouse will be our first choice when we return to Bruges at a later date. Thank you.

Room Tip: You can't fault the Attic Room...a great view with that feeling of luxury.
