Though not a full blown restaurant, more a bar that serves food, it still serves some of the best food in Bruges. They offer a three course special that include soup, a main (the omlettes I chose were to die for) and a dessert or tea/coffee to finish. The service is warm and friendly, food is amazing, and if you are lucky enough to get a window seat you get a wonderful view. It's one of those places you would never imagine making a point of going to, but once you have found it and been there as we have, you will want to go back again and again. Well done Petit Maxim!!!

After a weekend in Bruges and spending over 50+ euros for 2 persons for pretty average food, I loved Petit Maxim. We both had half a chicken which was super delicious, starter, desert and drink for around 30euros (both). Waiter was super nice and friendly. If you go to bruges, go to Petit Maxim. Loved it!

Have eaten here before and the €12.90 3 course lunch is very good value. This time, however the soups was a little bit too thin!

We stumbled across this brasserie when we were patrolling the canal front looking for lunch.

This one's just off the front & away from the hordes. However, the food is excellent: delicious soup & tasty main (goats cheese wrapped in bacon, served on a bed of lettuce)... with a good chocolate mousse to round off your lunch.

It was a reasonably priced set menu, & served with a smile.

I'd definitely come back...

Six of us popped in for a quick lunch.

Nice place, welcomed well and served very well despite it being very busy.

We drank beers, soft drinks and wine - all good stuff from a decent range at good prices.

We ate very simply, toasted sandwiches, Croques etc. All were spot on, good portions, tasty, made freshly and at very reasonable prices. A French family next to us were eating the "menu" and were evidently really enjoying some more complicated things.

In short, great spot just a bit away from the main square and canalside, perfect for lunch. Excellent.
