“Lovely, central accommodation.”

We stayed there for 3 nights in order to visit the Christmas Market.

The accommodation is very central and only minutes walk to the main square. It is extremely comfortable with excellent amenities. The booking process was simple and the owners very responsive to messages prior to our visit. We were very grateful for the offer of a pick from the bus station when we arrived from Charleroi.

Highly recommended.

“Perfect holiday let within walking distance of Bruges centre.”
Reviewed 18 September 2017 for a stay in September 2017

The house was rented for a few days stay in Bruges. It is an older property that has been creatively modernised to offer three bedrooms, bathroom and a good sized kitchen/living room. We found getting to the property easy, from the out of town railway station, using the frequent bus service. There is even a bus stop at the end of the road.

Martine greeted us when we arrived and gave useful hints on what to see in Bruges and provided a good selection of tourist literature.

During the few days we stayed at the house we found it to be quite and have all the ammenities we wanted and everything worked! A unexpected bonus was that we discovered the TV system had BBC1 and BBC2 which meant my wife could keep up with all her favourite TV soaps while on holiday!

Bruges is well worth a visit with its history, museums, central square and large numbers of restaurants.

“Great place to explore Bruges”
Reviewed 4 June 2017 for a stay in March 2017

The house is very well kept and in a great location to explore the city. The house easily accommodated 4 people and was very private and quiet. Check in and out was easy. We would have liked a few fans when the weather unexpectedly reached over 90F but when the only trouble is that the weather was unseasonably nice it's hard to complain.

“Comfortable apartment in great location”

Martine's apartment is in a great location , close to the centre, supermarkets and public transport.
It is comfortable, very clean, with a well equipped kitchen, warm and quiet.
Martine is very helpful with advice and good communication.

My only slight disappointment is with that the hot water system for showers only heats at night - so on arrival - no hot water until morning and if you use it all in the morning ( which we 3 did everyday ) that's it .
Also there is no washing machine -although the laundromat is very close by .

Martine does inform you on those above issues when she briefs you on arrival .

Overall we really enjoyed our stay in Bruges - gorgeous city and did a day trip to Gent and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Martine's apartment.

Thank you, Fran. It is good to read that you enjoyed your stay in my house and in Bruges. I am sorry that you felt short of hot water in the bathroom. A well insulated 200 litres boiler heats the water during the night to 65°C/149°F: this allows eight five-minute showers at 38°C/100°F. After departure of previous guests the same morning, I always switch on the boiler during the day until arrival of next guests to make sure hot water is available, although that time span may be a little short to heat the entire water mass until its maximum temperature.
