Description: Reliva serves our customers honest seafood and organic meat with as much bio ingredients that are available on the market. The vegetarian and veganistic dishes are prepared with the most care. Also we take good care of "lactose" and "gluten" free meals. Just ask our advice. The wines are advised per dish and can be ordered by the glass - a quite unique feature. As our guest we welcome you with a smile and deliver a friendly service. When the weather allows it, we serve on our nice and sunny terrace that has a unique view on both the Sint-Salvator Cathedral and the church of Our lady.

We came here after a morning's sightseeing and were lucky enough to score a table on the terrace on a sunny day. And an oasis of loveliness and super fresh, tasty food it proved to be. We has gorgeous salads with a glass of wine whilst the children opted for spaghetti. The owner is passionate about local produce and authenticity, so only start that conversation if you have plenty of time!

Avoid the tourist traps and try a meal at this delightful family run restaurant instead. The place is quaint and inviting, with a lovely private patio. Service is friendly and relaxed while being quite professional at the same time. The menu is somewhat limited but has fish, meat, vegetarian and vegan options. They can run out of menu offerings, however. Wine pairings are suggested for each meal. Food is delicious and well prepared-somewhat simple but with the freshest of ingredients. Wines by the glass are a bargain at 5E but the starter salad was a bit pricey at 18E (very fresh and tasty!). All in all, we had a most enjoyable evening.

Just off a cruise ship for one day in Bruges, spotted Reliva on Trip Advisor and booked for a Saturday lunch. Reliva is off the main tourist drag so is quite different to many of the more touristy places offering the usual moules and frites. Down a back street with a more limited menu that caters for both meat eaters and the extremes of vegetarianism. It was a nice sunny day and we sat outside in the pretty courtyard. Excellent service from the waiters who turned out to be the boyfriend and mother of the 23 year old female chef, trained at three Michelin restaurants and now running her own show. We started with two mixed platters, one of cured hams and the other of a cheese selection, followed by turbot with asparagus and a chocolate dessert made with avocado, quite unusual but delicious. Not the cheapest place but certainly one to return to one day.

It is a rare pleasure to be able to choose food that I really want at the same time as my vegan girlfriend. All too often we either end up going to a place I want to eat at, where there is something she can have, or a vegan restaurant, which I sometimes find to be a bit of a disappointment.

Reliva sets the bar high with really good food, and they work equally hard on both vegan and veggie options, alongside a short but very good conventional menu.

I had a very nice piece of filet steak, cooked as I liked it, with potatoes and salad, while Lynne had a very nice vegan lasagna - all great, and I enjoyed some excellent cheese for my second course.

Altogether we spent around E95 including wine, so not cheap, but we thought well worth it. Definitely recommended, whether you eat meat or not.

As a vegetarian traveller, know some of Europe very limited to say the least for veg/vegans. Extensive choice, unusual recipes, wholesome and well flavoured food, we were so glad we found this restaurant tucked away!
