This great little bar was a handy 17 second commute from our hotel, and its the best bar of the many we tried. It's small inside, with cramped seating, but there are a couple of tables in the back with a bit more room. There were 12 draft beers on, so we got a "sampler" of all of them on the first visit. The friendly barmaid gave us the rundown on all of them.. Once you've tried them all, you can undertake the serious business of properly refreshing yourself with your chosen brews.

It seems popular with brits early in the evening, but fills up with locals later on, when the atmosphere is better. It's not expensive when you consider that you're drinking hand made beer that's not cheap to make, and of course the beer itself is great!

Great little gem! It was right next to our hotel so we went over on our last night in Bruges which happened to be Monday. Place was full of locals! Everyone was lovely, atmosphere was great! They have a nice selection of draft beers. There is a beer menu on every table explaining not only the strength of the beer but also it’s history, ingredients, taste, best temperature to serve etc. Snacky food available for those who didn't eat before the beer tasting! Very friendly barman with perfect English. Worth to stop by if you around!

Close to De Halve Maan brewery we first stumbled across this bar in December 2012. Small, cosy and only serving draught ale it's a little gem. Also provides a good mix of nationalities including of course the locals. An ever-changing beer list of the highest quality. Highly recommended.

This bar is worth seeking out, not in the main drag, look for an A board outside saying beer tasting. It looks a little like you shouldn't go in, but push the door and you are in for a great surprise. The selection of Belgian beers on draught is awesome plus bottles and if in doubt ask Elien who is very knowledgeable, she speaks excellent English, the beer bible is huge.Try the ham platter a nice snack at just 4euros, check out the vintage till. Will definitely be back!

Had a great chat with the woman running Beer Atelier about beers. She's knowledgable, friendly, helpful and knows her stuff. Fab selection of beers in a homey relaxed ambience. Love this place, I'll be back!!
