Location is great. Otherwise, you get what you pay for. Plain, dingy rooms, but are large by European standards. Difficult to get around hotel, lots of random corridors very poorly marked. Front desk staff was helpful, but parking attendant rude and made a comment about my being a woman and driving my own car. Poor wifi in rooms. Spend the extra $40 and stay around the corner at Martin's Bruges.

Perfect location, 2minutes from the main square. Very warm welcome with car parking
(now 20euros a day) next door, essential to book as limited space. My dog was made equally as welcome. 2 restaurants either side and if you book direct a 5euro voucher per person valid in both. Breakfast was very good, a large choice of cereals, fresh fruit, hams/salamis/cheeses/pastries, bread etc., etc., and a glass of Cava to start your day! Very reasonably priced considering it s Brugge.

Room Tip: 1st or 2nd floor as there is quite a walk to the breakfast room or carpark from the 3rd floor, you h...

Found this hotel as it came up as the cheapest on Booking.com... not usually the best way to find a hotel but after reading the reviews decided it sounded alright... After wandering around the streets of Bruge was pleased to find a signpost directing us to the hotel and on arrival was subject to a great warm welcome from the receptionist. Our room was available on arrival at 11am and we were so grateful to be able to check in and settle down early.... we had a second floor good sized room with a great view over to the square and a central location to die for. Breakfast was basic and pleasant, however was surprised to notice a bottle of fizz in an ice bucket - we think for general use? There was a luggage room for use the next day and also bike hire which we did not make use of.

Downsides - the water was cold in the bathroom and took ages (a phone call and a bloke to come up) to get warm enough to have a shower - the hot water in the sink never materialized.

Booked a family room and it was an apartment! Huge one bedroomed apartment with kitchen. Breakfast included, bit basic but did the job! Literally off market square and had own parking (€15 a day) staff friendly and helpful. Has bike hire. Cannot fault this for a family- but pub underneath clearly shut in winter- sure might be noisy in the summer!

We couldn't believe how central the location was. It couldn't have been any better. Add to that the friendly staff and the onsite car parking and it was the perfect location.
We had a 4 person appartment which could have slept 6. It was tired but was equally comfortable and quiet. I really would recommend this hotel for a great value quirky hotel that suits a city break.

Room Tip: The 4 person appartment at the back of the hotel is very spacious

We were allocated a room in 'The Annex', which turned out to be one of 3 converted shop fronts along the passage from reception. The room was a bit musty until we opened the only opening window high up above the door. The description of a 'small double' was perfect, with very little room to walk around the bed, and with one of the bedside cabinets squeezed in longways so unable to open the drawers! No idea how they would fit2 separate singles in there. Sliding door to the tatty 'private' bathroom kept falling off its runners and had a large gap under the door - I say 'private', but not strictly true if you were sleeping on the side of the bed right next to the sliding door (about 2 feet from the toilet!!) . When you tick the 'double bed' option for a room, you actually just get the two singles pushed together, so very uncomfortable. Don't be fooled by the photos on the website of other rooms which clearly are not in 'The Annex'. And don't take the risk of being last to breakfast - supplies dwindle to say the least! I can see why they take payment on arrival! One late booking via Booking.com I will not repeat. Finally something positive - the position of the hotel is a bonus, being just off the main Markt square and we fortunately found plenty to do so that time spent in our room was minimal.

Room Tip: Avoid the Annex!
