This was one of three stays in an old house converted to a B&B that we enjoyed on our trip.
The family room located at the top of the house is a spacious living room with two single beds and small toilet room and sink on one floor, with an upper bedroom level with full bathroom.
The stairway to these rooms was very steep so not appropriate for those with mobility or tripping issues. The sitting room area was nicely appointed, with comfortable couches, a tv and dvd’s to watch. There was also a table, a fridge, and a kettle for coffee and tea.
The floors were very creaky so nighttime or early risers were disruptive to others in the room - don't know about the people in the rooms below us.
The hosts were very friendly and breakfast was very good. Quality local/typical foods.
The exterior door locking system left me a bit concerned about exit in case of an emergency, as keys were used to lock the door on both sides.
The conversion was very well executed and the historical aspects of the 400 year old house were well preserved with excellent modern replacements for the essentials. As the hosts say, the house is original except for a few modern conveniences like inside toilets, electricity, heat, and lighting!
