We stayed at Nicky's B&B for four nights in June 2005 and enjoyed our stay there. Nicky herself was very friendly and welcoming and the B&B was suited to our budget.
The location is excellent, being 5-10 minutes walk from the main tourist centre but far enough away to be in a peaceful and quiet area. The immediate area surrounding the B&B was very nice and felt very safe. It was also very nice to come away from the main tourist areas, and all the other tourists. The hotel is literally 2 minutes walk from the canals and 2 or 3 different restaurants. There is also a very nice small park (with no tourists in) about 5 minutes walk away. The nearest bus stops are no more than 5 minutes walk away.
We stayed in "The Blue Room" on the top floor. The room was not fantastic but did have everything we needed en-suite, unlike many other B&Bs in Brugge, and was very clean. The room was open plan, with the toilet and shower being behind a partitioned wall without their own seperate door. We did have trouble with the small mosquitos which bit us at night so we would recommend taking some mosquito repellant.
The breakfasts were very nice and filling with bread, cooked meats, cheese, boiled eggs, pan au chocolat, fresh coffee and orange juice. We did not eat in the restaurant but did drink in there one night and found it to have a nice atmosphere and cheap prices (and good beer, as always in Brugge!).
All in all, we enjoyed our stay here. The price was reasonable and the location was excellent, if it wasn't for the mosquito's it would have been perfect!
