“Lovely boutique hotel”
Reviewed 29 July 2014

Stayed for 3 nights in June. Perfect spot for exploring Bruges, just off one of the main squares. Lovely room with comfy big bed. Great breakfast, continental with excellent choice of breads, cold meats, cheeses etc in gorgeous rustic dining room. Lovely courtyard. Not cheap but then was in the centre of Bruges and lovely small hotel.

Room Tip: Room was on the top floor facing the front of the hotel and felt very private.

We stayed with our small kids and in laws. The hotel is a cozy big house turn into hotel. Very attentive staff, just some block to main plaza and other tourists landmarks. The breakfast was good. The hotel does not have elevator so if going with small kids ask for a room in the ground floor. Good value for money.

The bed was great to begin with.
The room was spacious and comfortable enough, with a large cupboard and coffee/ tea facilities.
The bathroom was ok, but a little outdated. In a way this could be said about the room as well. Ok, but could do with a make-over.
Breakfast was fine and situated in the cellar wich made it special.

All in all, simpel but ok. We paid €105 (breakfast included) which we thought a little bit much for this room.

so convenient a location with a good bierhaus just around the corner too.

staff friendly and breakfast was good, nice touch to be able to boil your own eggs.

only negative would be that the single beds in our room ( which had been pushed together) were not at all comfortable so sleep was not as good as it could be.

would still stay here again though.

Perfect for families - room 9 on ground floor. A suite with 2 very separate bedrooms. One large double. One large triple. Black out blinds. Triple glazing. We stayed with our 3 young children. Shame we couldn't stay longer.

My friend and I and our 21 yr old daughters had a girly weekend in mid May 2014 at this perfect little treasure of a guesthouse. It was homely traditional yet quirky modern and comfortable. We had a lovely en suite 4 bed family room that was more like a suite. The buffet breakfast in the very stylish breakfast room/ salon was so filling and tasty. The staff and owner were very helpful, kind and informative. It has a warm friendly ambience and feels like home from home. The price was excellent value for money. Location is 100m from the Markt Square in the city centre! Could not be better. We will book here again when we return to this beautiful fairy tale city. As Bruges is an ancient historic city, the old houses tend to be full of steps and steep stairs so those with mobility issues may have some problems (as I do) but I managed with the patience and help of my friends and the city is mostly and flat and nothing is far away. Recommend the horse & carriage, the canal boat ride, the basilica of the Holy Blood and just walking around looking at this wonderful place. Chocolate and beer are great too.

Room Tip: Recommend spacious en suite family room on the first floor in the front. Double glazing kept out str...
