It's ok. Not great. Tired decor and furnishings. Cold bathroom. Lumpy pillow. Peeling, yellow wallpaper and sad, long, dark corridors. Lacking charm. Sweet and apologetic staff though : they know the hotel needs a refurb and is trying to punch above its weight.

Although I was not a guest at this hotel, a very kind receptionist agreed to help me, when I came in crying, after having locked my keys in my car across the street... on a Sunday... and on my birthday. Knowing that a locksmith was going to be exorbitantly expensive, she called the local Opal service center, and within the hour, a very nice man and woman had managed to pry open the passenger door and reach my keys, still in the ignition. I cannot thank the hotel's receptionist enough for saving the day and salvaging my birthday. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

We stayed here for 1 night on Saturday night and the location is very good, about 7-10 mins walk to the Bruges city centre. You can also park for free anywhere outside the hotel or the area surrounding the hotel, but you need to display a blue badge that you have to renew every 4 hrs displaying the time until 8PM, as after that you don't need to bother to come back and change the hour. Also, it's free parking on Sundays, so no need to renew the time for the badge on Sunday neither.
You can buy this badge from everywhere and also from the lady at the reception where it costs 2.50 Euros.
Breakfast was nice in a lovely little room.
Nice hotel overall and would recommend it to everyone wanting to stay in a nice peaceful area and close to Bruges city centre.

Great location, 5 mins walk to centre. They do have private parking but that was fully booked, we parked in the underground public car park which is cheaper. It's 5 mins walk away and very secure. Our room was a superior double on a corner of the 1st floor and it was huge. It had dual aspect with windows overlooking the canal and side road and was really quiet at night. Great service, great breakfast and very friendly staff. Would recommend.

We just returned last night from a 3 night stay at this hotel. It was an easy 20min walk from the main train station and a lovely 10min canal side walk from the Burg and Markt and everything in the town centre. It was nicely just out of town so no noise issues and we both liked the quiet walk back after a meal and a few beers each night.

Room was big with a lovely bathroom. Only gripe would be the tap in the bath was on the side towards the end with the shower. When showering you could easily hurt your knee on it if turning quickly or accidentally change the water temperature. Toiletries were nice and scented with lemongrass.

Breakfast buffet was great. Only hot food was scrambled eggs, bacon and beans but as I never eat cooked breakfast anyway the fresh bread and ham and cheese etc. was excellent.

we would definitely return to this hotel if we were to visit Bruges again.

We stayed here for 5 days/4 nights in May 2013 for a romantic break to Bruges. The hotel was wonderful, centrally located in the old part of Bruges and just a quick stroll along the canal to the central market place. We stayed on a B&B basis - breakfast was lovely and filling. We drove there from UK and was able to park our car outside the hotel on the roadside. You need to display a blue Euro parking badge which needs to have the length of stay reset every 4 hours during the daytime. This was no problem for us to return every 4 hours to reset the time as we spent the whole time in Bruges, but for anyone planning a day out further afield, then they may need to move their car to a paid car park for the day.

We stayed 3 nights here in October 2013.

The Rosenburg is very small and doesn't have a ton of amenities. That said, our Canal view room was nicely appointed and had floor to ceiling windows with views of the canal. The neighborhood was quiet and was a 10 minute walk from the Market Place.

Breakfast was great in a small atrium downstairs and the staff was helpful and nice.

I enjoyed being central but away from the tourist hustle and would choose to stay here again.
