Had a very pleasant short stay in the Rosenburg, the staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms clean and comfortable. Breakfast every day was good with a nice selection of different foods. A good experience.

We travel frequently with our small kids all over the world, and I think the Rosenburg hotel could make some big improvements in their rooms and (their staff) to be rated a 4-star. We reserved our room on miles and upon arrival were told baby cots are 10 euros. Although we had confirmed our reservation in a follow up email, the manager still insisted that that that baby bed must be paid for anyway (there is also nothing listed on their website about this cost). We tried to explain the reservation showed we had reserved it, the email confirmed it but she just insisted on being short and rude and told me that it was 'only 10 euros' so I should just deal with it or find somewhere else to stay. Ten euros is not something that normally would get me upset, but given that we could have brought our own bed, and the manager was yelling at us, just made the start to the experience negative.

On the positive side, it is in a nice location and the breakfast buffet is good, but there are lots of hotels to pick from within a 10 min walk of the main center for a comparable price. On the flip side, as stated in many other reviews, the hotel is tired and needs an upgrade. The beds are not comfortable and there are many small details not being maintained so the rooms have many things falling apart--stains on the floors, wallpaper peeling off, light sockets not perfectly fit, etc. The walls are very thin so it is true that you can hear screaming children in the other rooms (especially at night) and you do hear the loud elevator over and over (and we were down the hall and on the other side of the hallway).

For parking, you need a blue disc. It works ok but you do need to change the disc time every 4 hours on all days except Sunday. There are other paid parking lots nearby that cost about 8 euros a day so that could be another option.

Breakfast also doesn't start until 8 so if you have smaller kids, be prepared with something in the room if they won't be able to wait until then.

We also heard the manager being stern with other guests asking questions and checking in. She just didn't make it seem pleasant for her guests.

Overall, I wouldn't say there is anything really wrong with the hotel, but for a comparable price I would stay in a B&B or another hotel. I think you will get a quieter night's sleep in a more comfortable bed and hopefully have more pleasant staff to assist you.

Room Tip: Request a room far away from the elevator. Bring your own baby cot or prepare to pay 10 euros. Consi...

Not a bad word about the very friendly reception, the professionalism of the staff, the spaciousness of the room, the perfect condition of the bathroom (a very reliable gauge for the general quality of a hotel!), the very good breakfast..
Also the location is perfect: near the center, but very quiet.
There are just two things that need addressing: the lift makes and awful racket, and the mattresses, boxsprings and pillows urgently need replacing.

Room Tip: Ask a room away from the elevator.

We had a really nice stay at the Rosenberg Hotel recently. The room was large and well equipped. The staff were really helpful. And the breakfast provided a good selection of options. Also the hotel is only a vey pleasent ten minute walk to the main squares of Bruges. Would definitely stay here again.

After having just returned home from a 2 night stay at the Rosenburg I have to say it's clean, basic and in a good location.

Decor is undeniably dated and the hotel could generally do with an update throughout but for the 2 nights we were in Brugge we enjoyed our stay and found everything clean - shower was wonderfully powerful too.

Only 10 minutes walk from the square along a canal which was lovely.

Staff were really pleasant and allowed us to store our bags before check in.

If you're looking for a place to crash after a long day of wandering then i'd certainly recommend this hotel.

Stayed 2 nights. Nice hotel a bit dated but clean. The staff were friendly and the room was very spacious and nice views. We could not check in until 3 but arrived in bruges at 11 an asked if we could store the bags. The woman at reception was really helpful and switched our room to one that had already been cleaned so we could check in early. Had a really nice time and this hotel had everything we needed

Spent a night at the Rosenburg this week and it was an ideal base for the city. Rooms were well furnished and clean and staff were very friendly. Breakfast was good for all rounders but not for those who want cereals. Could do with branded cereals (Kelloggs etc) otherwise all very good.
Ask to pay for tourist tax when booking in as we though it was included, only 2 euro each so no bother.
