Ideally located in the heart of Bruges historic centre.

We probably did not have one of the better rooms as we were on the first floor and did not benefit from one of the small terrace areas. However, our room did offer a good view of the Cathedral. It was basically furnished but perfectly clean and functional. The apartment had a large sitting room and small kitchen area. A nice comfortable bed and small ensuite bathroom. We loved the flexibility of being able to prepare one or two light meals in the apartment as it is costly to eat out.

The owners were very friendly and helpful and pretty much leave you to it unless you need them. It offered exceptional value in what is generally a very expensive City. The price includes free WIFI, satellite TV, and a guide to Bruges. They also offer a secure private car park at €10 euros per night which is well worth it.

We could not have asked for more and would definitely return.

Room Tip: Book early and select a room with a terrace.

We stayed at The bonobo last month for my birthday trip to Bruges. It was perfect. Hans and Magda were so welcoming and give u a guide book and map with recommendations straight away. They booked up excursions for us too with a real personal touch. We had an apartment onto the pretty flowered courtyard and enjoyed cooking ourselves a big breakfast as Bruges is so extortionately expensive. We had no idea how much everything would cost when we arrived so it was fab to be able to do a bit of self catering. The apartments have absolutely everything you would need. Thank you so much to Hans and Magda for making our stay so comfortable and special.

We spent 3 nights in Bonobo, and found it a great spot. We were in room 16--perfectly sized for our family of 4. I was in Brugges for a conference at Site Ould Sint Jin--and the hotel is literally 100 paces from the site. In addition, all major sites were within a 5-10 minute walk. Hans and Magda were gracious hosts, and provided recommendations for dining off the beaten path. Hans was very helpful in coordinating our exit in terms of directions, boarding passes, etc. Had an evening of wine on the terrace with a gorgeous view of the neighboring church of our lady.

My wife and I stayed at Bonobo in a self-catering apartment (#15) in early June for 3 nights on vacation. The apartment is nice and clean, and the location is fantastic. Compared to the other places we looked at booking, Bonobo is cheaper and a good value.

It is a short walk away from Grote Markt, Simon Stevinplein and other central locations. Apartment 15 was in the back with a nice patio with a table and chairs. On the main floor, there was one open room with a living room with a couch, TV, safe, table and chairs and kitchen. Upstairs was the bathroom and the bedroom, which had an armoir and a large skylight that opened for ventilation.

We enjoyed being able to go to the grocery store and have a simple breakfast in the apartment before going out for the day.

Magda and Hans were great hosts. They provide a guidebook for Bruges in each room for you to use while you are there. They also have snacks and drinks in the reception area that are available for you to get anytime. You simply put your purchase on the provided form, and they will charge it to your room.

The one potential negative to our apartment would be when it is hot. There was no AC, and it can get warm in the bedroom on the second floor. You can leave the skylight open (it has both a shade and a screen), but I found the birds too loud early in the morning.

Room Tip: We liked room 15 in the back with our own patio, which had a table and two chairs.

Me and my boyfriend have been coming back to Bruges for a couple of years now and we've stayed in several different hotels. I would have to say I prefer this one the most. We stayed in an apartment on the ground floor. This included a kitchen, living area and a separate bedroom and bathroom area, at a very reasonable price. The kitchen was supplied with all the utensils you could need, which we made use of a couple of times. When we first arrived the staff told us everything we needed to know, including extra information about Bruges and a list of places to visit, which was really nice. The location of the hotel is amazing , less than a 5 minute walk to the main square! The only reason I haven't given a 5* rating is because some areas of the apartment were a bit run down, e.g: bathroom tiles, cracks in walls. But other than that it was very clean. Overall, we both really enjoyed our stay at Bonobo and hopefully will be able to stay there again next time.

We just finished our stay for 3 nights at the Bonobo Apart Hotel. We chose the self catering options, but then didn't end up using the kitchen at all. It was an adequate kitchen though, we just decided on eating out instead.
We had a car and this location was perfect. Close enough to everything, but still provided easy access by car. There was also secure parking behind a locked gate, which was wonderful.
There were two locked doors to enter to get into the hotel, so it was very safe. Not that we felt unsafe in the area, but the added protection was peace of mind.
The living area was separate from the bedroom. There was adequate space for three adult ladies. Everything was in working order and just right. We just absolutely can't say anything negative about the Bonobo.
To walk to the Markt, you are about 10 minutes away. To see the Madonna and Child, it's about a 2 minute walk.
When in Brugge again I will definitely be booking this hotel. Absolutely lovely!

Room Tip: We had room 23. It was very quiet and overlooked the garden. Because of the warmth, we slept with...

having stayed at two other hotels in Bruges (Hotel Ter Dunien and Crown Plaza), I think this hotel has the best location out of the three. It seems to be a five minute walk from everything you would want to visit. However, i can understand why people who are visiting Bruges for the first time may get a bit lost.

The hotel room itself was nice but basic, and needs a bit of touching up, such as a few cracks on the walls and a bit of grime on the shower walls but overall the room was very clean. One previous review stated that the room was right on the street, which it is, but the road is relatively quiet anyway and was never really a problem during our stay.
the wifi was free and fast too, which is even more surprising!

I stayed in a self-catered apartment room but me and my girlfriend never really used the kitchen as we ate out most the time, but it had a stove and pots and pans and a fridge etc.

The staff were very friendly, giving us a list of places to go see and a guide book etc. which was a nice change from a hotel.
