Friendly, humourous tour guide. Informative tour, great views of Bruges from brewery roof top, bar where different beers could be sampled, good shop. Well worth a visit.

As we waited on the terrace with our ticket we noticed a sign which had something along the lines of "group numbers are kept low to preserve the quality of the tour" -great I thought! I much prefer smaller groups for these sorts of things. However it soon became clear that our group was getting larger and larger, in the end there were 30+. It was difficult to hear the tour guide speak at times and because the brewery is quite old and compact it was difficult to move from room to room with our large group. My wife and I are young and relatively fit but we were concerned about the precarious steps along the tour and thought it was a bit cheeky that there was no warning of this until after we purchased a ticket! To be fair maybe they looked at us and thought we would be ok, but there were some elderly visitors who seemed to struggle with the steep steps. Overall we spent most of the time on the tour waiting 10 minutes at each room for the group to make it down the steep precarious steps! The best part of the tour was the view from the top from which you can see most of Bruges. The ticket allows you 1 free beer and it was worth the wait. We enjoyed our beer in pleasant surroundings. I would definitely come here for a beer, but I don't know if the tour is worth doing especially if you are in a large group.

Excellent tour, knowledgable and humorous guide. Only 6.5 euro per adult, this includes a glass of blonde beer afterwards - delicious. As was the beer, ham and cheese soup! Beautiful beer glasses for sale at reasonable prices. Fantastic view of city from the top of the building. Well worth a visit

We arrive 45 minutes before closing - so I'm sure they were over the tourist by then - which maybe why they sure were not very friendly or welcoming
