Stayed here many times and keep coming back. Appreciate the hands-off approach and being left alone. Not the standard treatment in most B&Bs, but we like it a lot.
Rooms are comfy, airy and sleeping comfort is great.

We were a group of 50-ish blokes on our annual catch-up/get together trip and although RWAV is not a hotel, it was quite special. We had 3 rooms and were the only peope there so we had free run of the house which could not be faulted. The self catering aspect with essential groceries was fantastic and the owner could not have been more helpful when we explained that we would like to go to Ypres, the following morning she had left full details of trains/buses whilst we went to a local bar.
I have stayed in other Grugge hotels, but this is in sych a quiet part, it is well worth considering. And that is even before trying the bikes which are available for your use. The first misty morning, peddaling the quiet streets passing the windmills looking for a bakery was quite magical!
RWAV was simply quite special and unique.

Me and my friends stayed at A Room With a View for a week around New Year and it was great! The house is very nice - old style 3-storey house on a quiet Bruges street close to the ring around old city. Rooms are quite comfortable with everything a bunch of friends need, simple wooden interiors are just what we were looking for (especially the "Santal" loft). It is better to rent the whole house for a group of 5-6 people, you have your own kitchenette and no one bothers you etc. Although it was our first experience with Bruges, I wouldn't say I'll ever try to find another place to stay there. Old city is very small, so it still takes no more than 10 minutes walk to the city centre and approximately 3 minutes on bike :-) (the bikes are free for the guests and it was awesome experience to hit the city streets in the night!) Do not believe those saying that Bruges is for old-agers - sure it has quiet corners, but it has the pumping all-night bars too :-) It is a nice place to stay while sightseeing the surrounding places - Gent, Brussels, Antwerpen an so on.
Corine, the manager, was very helpful, she told us many things about Bruges and what to do there and where to eat and what to look around.

In other words - "a must rent" in Brugge :-)

Instead of flying back from Brussels after a long business meeting we decided to stay the weekend in Bruge at this wonderful B&B right in the heart of this small town. It was a good decision. Corine is a great host and her space makes you quickly feel home away from home. Unforgetable the bicycle tour around town with Corine as a guide pointing out all the historic and romantic places. Our two rooms were cosy, very clean, surprisingly big and above all quiet for a good night sleep. The facilities are perfect for even longer stays.

If you book this place you will love it!!! Gorgeous room with a warm and cozy feel. Breakfast was expansive and was all laid out to you can eat at your leisure. A ten minute walk from town - more than manageable and useful after chocolate and beer in Bruges!
