We went to De Bekoring after finding it on Minnewater, it is in two old almhouses and has lots of atmosphere with old bricks and beams.
Servcie was good and very freindly, they were not busy when we went mid-week so had time to chat as well. My husband wanted the mussels which were a main course as a starter, chef was asked and yes of course they could do this. Food was delicious, we had the lamb cutlets which just melted in your mouth and the local beef stew.
We had a lovely evening and could recomend
Only downside was they did not have any tonic for a G&T!
They also did a lunchtime special menu which looked like good value for money

Charming local restaurant that provides great value tasty dishes. Opted for the Bruges menu which for 30 euro consisted of gorgeously gooey shrimp croquettes, a hefty Bruges stew all sticky & dark & rich and a very naughty chocolate mousse. Everything was very delicious and accompanied by a very delicious bottle of Chinon which was also good value. Would definitely recommend.

We found this small out of the way piece of temptation (de bekoring means temptation) and very much enjoyed the good food and service. We had the set meal and the beef in beer was excellent. A bottle of wine and water completed a very nice evening.

We had passed this little gem several times on our walks by the Minnewater and tonight we finally decided to give it a try. Grannys SCallops are not to be missed and the Stag calf filet was simply divine. the desserts were decadent to say the least and obviously home made. We were casually dressed and made to feel right at home. A GREAT value at 38 euros for three courses. We will n0t pass this one by ever again!!

Spent my birthday in this superb, out of the way, quiet and "local" place in Bruges. Away from the noise and chaos of the market square, this restaurant is extremely well-managed and because it is family operated, you really sense the importance of quality and ownership of delivery. The building itself is something to behold, with an interesting "inn" type of atmosphere inside, with tables for 2-4, it is best for couples looking for that special place to "get away from the crowds, and get into the local scene a bit". Please take the time to check it out, we took the recommend from our favorite travel guides, who else but Rick Steves. All the best, enjoy!
