It's well known that the Belgians like their mussels. Well if you want to try them while on a visit to Bruge then this is the place. Huge portions, delicious frites on the side, and lovely staff. Just off one of the market squares and easy to find I would highly recommend.

We came to the restaurant without reservations but the owner was very accommodating to our large group. While they did not have a menu specific for children they were willing to make a few menu items for the children in our party at a reasonable price. Everything we were served was well prepared and we would recommend eating here again. The seafood was the particularly high note for everyone in our group.

We booked a table for 6 for lunch and were told at the time of booking that if we were a little late it wouldn't be a problem. Due to a torrential downpour we were about 30 minutes late but the staff still gave us a warm greeting and gave us a nice circular table in the corner of the charming dining room.

The food was from their lunch special with options such as sole fillets, carbonnade and steak as mains. The food, while not being exceptional, was tasty and well prepared and everyone was happy with their choice. We had a great family lunch and felt that the restaurant offered good value for money in a town where that can sometimes be hard to find.

Would visit again.

Wonderful cuisine although a bit pricy (about £40-£50 per person). Live lobsters in a tank to ensure freshness! Great place for really fresh seafood of all types. Excellent food and excellent service. Varied menu of meat, fish and shellfish dishes.

Can fully recommend the shrimps or muscles for starters, plus the sole fillet and Belgium stew for mains. Absolutely delicious. Cockles and pickled herring also great as a small extra nibble.

We've been to Bruges a lot and were looking forward to a good lunch here, because our usual restaurant was closed. We both had the 'Happy Lunch' and it looked enticing but ham croquettes and carbonade weren't up to the standard we've come to expect, nor was my steak much to write home about. I'm afraid it didn't pass our test of, "Would we come again?" There certainly was't much evidence of seafood on the menu we had. I'd have thought a set menu would showcase the best dishes. However, our waiter was charming, very helpful, and spoke excellent English, which is always nice in Brugge where we try not to use French. Service was rather slow though.
