We had the three course 30euro menu. We both had garlic mussels as the starter and they were ok but that's all. My wife had the fish kebab which was good, My steak was nice enough but a little dry as if it had been left. The accompanying salad was very small to share. Each main course came with a baked potatoes as well as chips which I thought was strange given the abscence of any thing else other than the small salad. The desert was just ice-cream with chocolate sauce. The service was poor and rushed. I would not go there again.

We were struggling to find somewhere to eat in Bruges but managed to grab the last table at De Koeste -definitely book ahead here!
Owner was friendly - always a good sign to see him sitting down and spending time with diners.
Had the €30 menu, which got us a choice of 5 starters, 5 mains then coffee or ice cream. Melon and Parma ham was fantastic - hadn't had that for years. Luckily there was quite a gap between that and mains, as portions were very generous!
The largest bowls of mussels I've ever seen followed. Between us we had them cooked in beer and provencal (tomato-based). All great.
House wine was a great match and available by the glass, 1/4, 1/2 and bottle.
Service was mostly great. They were clearly very busy though!
We'd definitely recommend this place, certainly made a great start to our time in Bruges!

My boyfriend and I stumbled over this resturant on a rainy evening in Bruges, looking to escape the rain and came across some great good value food. The portion sizes are large and the dishes are very tasty. The only 'negative' was because they were busy it took several attempts to get the waitress' attention but hey you cant have everything.

The food here was great, best Frites we have eaten, the Moules were superb and the steak cooked on the grill, melted in your mouth, The staff were very attentive, altogether making it an evening to remember
