Good points:

Beautiful, inside and out.
Friendly staff
Lovely breakfast
Great bar
Great location
L'occitane products
Turn down service and goodnight chocolate

Disappointing points:

The website says that superior rooms have a bath, we just had a shower which was a shame.
Our room wasn't ready on time.
We had said whilst booking that it was our tenth wedding anniversary. Although I shouldn't expect anything, every 3/4/5 star hotel we have stayed in on a special occasion has either upgraded us, given some wine or chocolates in the room or at least acknowledged us with a 'congratulations'. Nice to have a dressing gown but they are rock hard.
TV volume was very strange, could hear music or background noise but not the speaking very well unless we turned it up really loud but then everything else was blaring out.
Bed was very soft.

A lovely hotel but not up to a five star standard.

Room Tip: Ask for a bath as even though the website states bath, they do not all have them

I stayed here for a surprise trip to Bruges for my fiancé's 30th birthday. The hotel was very impressive - beautiful inside and out. The bedroom was lovely (we stayed in a deluxe room) - spacious and comfortable with a very good standard bathroom. The staff were all very friendly and professional. The location was great - a two minute walk from the main square. We had breakfast at the hotel and I thoroughly recommend it. There was a huge selection of food, with chocolate and champagne to finish it off. I cannot fault this hotel, and would love to stay again.

We stayed at this hotel for a stopover by our trip to the belgian coast. When we arrived at the check in the doorman brought our car to the hotel carpark. The room was just their standard room but with a decent size and modern bathroom with l'Occitane toiletries. The next morning it was quite busy at breakfast, but they have a large breakfast room with an additional room where it was more quiet. This is one of the best breakfasts I had staying in an hotel in Belgium.A lot of choice, sparkling wine and huge blocks of chocolate to serve yourself. After checkout the doorman just parked our car again in front of the entrance.Good experience for a short stopover.

Stayed here for 3 nights before Christmas. This hotel is fantastic and in a great location to all the sights. The hotel is in a beautiful building and is very impressive both inside and out. The staff here are very good, friendly and professional.
The bedroom was extremely spacious and well decorated and very clean. The downsides to the room was that the bed was too soft and for a 5 star hotel there should have been some complimentary refreshment in the rooms.
Breakfast was outstanding with many different options and a lovely touch of help your self chocolate and champagne. This definately set us up for the day ahead!
Would recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to stay in Bruge.

Wonderful city centre hotel, steeped in history, with grand rooms, great service and good attention to detail.
Difficult to find by car, but superbly located in the centre of the UNESCO city of Bruges.
Will definitely come back
Lots of families anther, and lots of couples on romantic breaks so seems this hotel will work for most people too!

We booked a room here for a short break, it certainly looks impressive from the outside, unfortunately when we checked in our reservation for a double room had not been reserved as such and we were in a twin rooom, they had no other double rooms for us but did say they would have us moved if one came available, we were not moved but they did move the beds together for us.

The location is superb, a stone's throw from the centre, but off a little side street so no noise.

The room was lovely and comfortable, with more than enough space, although out view was of a flat roof and a brick wall.

Breakfast was extensive, from continental meats and cheeses, full cooked breakfast, fruits, yoghurts and cereals to pancakes, pastries and toast, they even have slabs of belgium chocolate you can carve yourself a chunk off of.

The staff were friendly, but unfortunately not particularly helpful or accommodating when an error was made on their part which let them down.

The hotel bar is lovely and the staff here are extremely attentive.
