A nice hotel, decent rooms,no grand luxury, unfortunatally carpet on the floor. A little bit smelly. Unbeatable location ! Shopping streets begin littereally at the hotel-entrance, with the sea and the long beautiful promenade (Leopold I Promenade) just behind the hotel. You can also leave your car in the hotel car parking, for a daily fee (14 euros), but it is in a secure locked garage (which is about 10 min walk away though, but easy enough to find) and catch the tram right outside the frontdoor, for easy travel all along the coastline!
simple but good breakfast included in room rates and certainly worth the money too. We enjoy staying at this hotel, but it is mostly because of the excellent location. Helpfull staff. Have lunch at Le Basque, at the Leoppold I Promenade. Value for money.

Room Tip: Not at the front side, noisy.

Stayed at this hotel over the English May bank holiday, there was 7 of us (family). The hotel is in a great location, nice clean rooms, very friendly staff, reasonably priced, nice bar, had a drink at the bar but didn't eat there!! We stayed 3 nights at the hotel and mainly used it as a base, we visited Gent and Bruges whilst there and used the train and tram system which was very easy and a cheap way to get around!! Would certainly recommend this hotel!! The Wild Family, Nottingham!

My husband and I stayed here for the weekend of the Ostend Carnival. We were greeted by lovely staff, directed to the private underground parking (excellent) and given a lovely front room.
It's proximity to the Casino for the ball on the Saturday night was superb, out of the hotel, turn right and there it was.
Everywhere was in walking distance, shops, bars, beach etc. A wonderful art deco cafe downstairs with the best fresh hot chocolate! The room was clean, the bathroom clean with a lovely old deep bath! The room was old fashoined as it would be in an hotel of this age with creaking floorboards in the corridor but that just added to the appeal, excellent stay.

Stayed here in March with a party of nine. This hotel is very clean and tidy and has a cafe bar attached to it. We stayed over the Rats Ball weekend so the hotel was full. However, this didn't detract from the standards that the hotel seems to uphold. The rooms were still cleaned daily even with extra beds put into them and left nice and clean for us returning. The breakfast is the usual continental fare and and is plentiful in supply and good in quality.

The bar is apparantly the original bar and is very art decor. Its quality speaks for itself as it is always full of the locals which is a good indicator of how good it is. Is a great place for people watching and mixing with the Belgians

A quick note. I have marked the restaurant as average. This is because it is only a cafe bar. The food is the average fare that tyou would expect.

I have stayed here before and would stay here again

We travel to Ostend at least once a year and have stayed at the Du Parc since 2009 on four or five occasions.

The rooms are smallish but they are comfortable and clean. Shower cubicles are a little cramped. In room televisions are old fashioned.

The hotel is very well located, tram stop right outside and the breakfast buffet is fresh and plentiful. We have always found the service charming and the owner once opened the restaurant early for us for breakfast when we had to be away sharp in the morning.

The double rooms at the back are a bargain if you don't mind not having a street view and are significantly quieter especially over e.g New Years Eve.

Parking generally is a pain in the proverbial in Ostend. The best compromise on price/location we have found is by the station.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back are cheaper by about twenty Euro a night and are quieter but can be a bit gloomy.

This hotel restaurant is a must to visit in Ostend, a real institution.
The decor is beautiful art deco, with inside and outside seating.
Coffee is served in silver filter pots.
Great snacks served with beer or wine.
So everything is fantastic, but they have to score poor due to the service.
The waiters think they are far above serving us people, they are unattentive, rude even to sarcastic!
So go for the ambiance the food and drink but grit your teeth over the service here,
