Beautiful location overlooking the river, no better place to be buried. A short walk around the ramparts brings you to this lovely spot next to the rampart museum entered through the pub

An absolutely lovely memorial to those who died during WW1. My father and I walked all around just looking at the names of the fallen soldiers. Perhaps the most poignant for me, were those 'known only unto God'.

We had a look at the cemetery after visiting the Ramparts Museum. The setting is beautiful, overlooking water and so peaceful. As always the rows of white crosses really make you stop and think. We did not spend a long time here but were glad we visited.

A small, but emotionally powerful place. The lovely gardens, water, and birds are in stark contrast to the hell-on-earth of Ypres 1914-18.

If you like your history then this is a lovely place to visit. Much smaller than i imagined. I know it sounds strange, but it is far more educational than what you learn at school.
